– If you’re looking yourself to fill a vacancy in an already-established housing situation, browse through the most recent vacancies posted below. If you can’t find what you’re looking for that way, post a little about yourself and what kind of housing situation you’re looking for and relevant info and dates. In any case, don’t forget to leave some sort of contact info so folks know how to get in touch with you.

  • Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a roommate for a 2bd/2ba apartment in the Witham Hill Oaks apartment complex (https://www.withamhilloaks.com/corvallis/witham-hill-oaks/…/) starting mid December or January. You’d have a private bedroom and bathroom, free use of the gym, sauna, pool. I’ve got a washer/dryer in the apt. The apartment is right next to Witham Hill Natural Area, very calm and peaceful. Bus #1 takes you directly to campus. Rent is $580/month plus utilities.
If you’d like to check the place out, please email me at sokolovi@oregonstate.edu

  • Hi CGE,

I have a large master suite with full private bath (shower and tub) and two large walk-in closets (total 460 sq ft!) available to rent in my home. The house is located on 2 wooded acres with a stream approx. 4 miles west of campus in a very quiet rural neighborhood. Conveniently located near trail heads at Oak Creek, Bald Hill, Starker, Cardwell Hill, and Fitton Green, it’s a great spot if you enjoy the outdoors and are looking for some peace and quiet. It is NOT on public transit.

Room is $750/mo for a single or $900/mo for a couple (preferred) all-inclusive on utilities (i.e., internet, electric, garbage). I can provide the room partially or unfurnished and the rest of the home is fully furnished, washer/dryer, off-street parking. Sorry no pets. I rent on a month-to-month lease with a 30-day notice.

Home is shared with graduate students in the Dept. of Fisheries and Wildlife, Wood Science, and a faculty research assistant in the Forestry Dept who range in ages from late 20’s to 50’s. We’re focused on school/work but we also enjoy bbq’s, yard and board games, etc.

If you are interested please contact me (peter.kappes’AT’oregonstate.edu).

    Cheers,
    Peter

  • Hi!

I am moving out of the upstairs apartment of an older (1941) single-family home, which was converted into 2 apartments, upstairs/downstairs. The apartment is on NW Harrison Blvd between NW 21st and 23rd. The upstairs is available starting as early as 8/20.

    Some details:
    – rent ~$695 (but this may change)
    – 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
    – no dishwasher! 🙁
    – LOTS of storage space
    – washer/dryer is downstairs in the apt. Downstairs neighbor (a young professional) is very nice.
    – close to campus, ~10 min walk (this may be too close for some people!)
    – there is a small unfenced backyard area, a majority chunk of the garden plot can yours!

I have photos if you want to look at the apartment. If interested or want to see the apartment in person, email me back directly.

    Best,
    Sarah

  • Room available (end of Sept/Oct 1st but flexible) in a 3bd house in Southtown. Boyfriend and I own the house and keep the extra room for guests/office. You’d have your own bathroom except when guests are over. I’m a grad student in Soils and BF is employed at a local Geospatial company. About us: easygoing, enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, brewing. Looking for someone clean, respectful, mellow. $650/mo utilities included (we have good wifi and Netflix in addition to basics). Must be ok with our kitties — and sorry, no room for additional pets. Shoot me an email if interested: petercoh@oregonstate.edu.

  • Hello!

We will have a room with semi-private bath available 8/1. We are located 15-20min walk or less than 10 min bike ride to OSU, Fred Meyer/Co-Op are also in walking distance, and we are very close to bus stops. Rent is currently being renegotiated with new owners of the house with that being finalized 10/1. However, I can confirm at the absolute most would be $535 and at lowest $491(We are strongly negotiating the $491). The utilities are usually around 50-60 a month on average a piece during summer and maybe 10-20 more in winter. Washer/Dryer in the home with dishwasher as well! There is also a detached garage that we mostly use to tinker with stuff or work on bikes, but can be used to park/storage if so inclined. 🙂

A bit about us: I am currently finishing up my PhD and my partner works full time so we aren’t home a lot during the day, but when we are we’re typically in our room playing video games or binging on Netflix. We’d like a fellow grad student or young professional. Also, LGBTQ+ friendly is required. We’re not crazy partiers or known for being loud/obnoxious. Common courtesy and respectful behavior are very important to us. Wi-Fi is available along with access to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime for a small additional fee ($10 or so?). I can send pictures if you’re interested. This house has a lot of personality which includes a small rock wall in the living room and a few other extra unique amenities. Our current roommate will be moving out the end of July. So because of that, I don’t have photos of that room right now, but its average size. Oh, we do have a cat who is indoor/outdoor FYI and she is not a fan of other animals. Unfortunately, any other animal wouldn’t be allowed. 🙁

If you’re interested reply back with a bit more about you personally and any expectations you have! Then if we think you may be a good fit we can schedule a time/day to show you the place and get to know each other a bit. 🙂

  • We are looking for a housemate to occupy the upper level of our spacious house, just four blocks from campus, on Tyler and 17th. The upstairs has a spacious bedroom, large walk-in closet, private bathroom, office space, storage space and balcony. The lower-shared level has a large kitchen, living room and dining/sun room, as well as a spare bedroom for guests. For a moderate-sized yard, we have a large garden, but a small lawn. The current three housemates are graduate students and professionals with busy schedules, but are also highly social. The house is very relaxed, and we are looking for someone who also enjoys socialization and summer gatherings. Rent is $725 per month, not including utilities. Please see the posting at https://corvallis.craigslist.org/sha/d/spacious-upper-level-blocks/6603661553.html and contact Thomas.stokely@gmail.com for inquiries.

  • Hi,

One of my roommates is moving out at the end of June. We are looking for someone to take his place starting July 1st, however the exact move in date is negotiable. Rent will likely be in the ball park of $500 plus utilities but depends on if they raise it with the renewal of the lease.

The house is located at 11th and Van Buren just a few blocks away from campus. We are a couple houses in from the main street and don’t get much traffic noise. 11th street tends to be pretty quiet, especially for how close it is to campus. There is a shed like garage with some room for storage for things like bikes, tools, and camping gear. The house has a yard, however our landlord does not allow pets. There is also a washer and dryer.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

    Lisa

  • Hi,

I’m looking to fill 2 bedrooms in a 3 bedroom duplex unit. Rooms are available in September, semi-flexible (current roommates are staying through August).

    The place:
    – Rent is $530 a month plus utilities
    – Clean, tidy (but not utterly spotless), lots of plants
    – Great location a half mile north of campus, large park a few blocks away, close to decent bars and live music
    – Tons of natural light, wood floors, and an open layout
    – Cozy backyard
    – Sorry, no pets

    About me:
    – PhD student in the Environmental and Molecular Toxicology department
    – Chill but sociable around the house, occasionally hosting movie nights (or Game of Thrones) on our projector
    – I drink lightly, usually before going out and shamelessly dancing until the early hours
    – Enjoy live music and play guitar (mindfully and courteous of my volume), ride/maintain my motorcycles regularly, travel as much as possible, avoid writing my dissertation, etc.

If this sounds like you and we’d get along, you can reach me at slatterm@oregonstate.edu. I really enjoy my current roommates and compatible personalities are important to me.

    Cheers,
    Matt

  • Hey, there! I am currently seeking to sublet my studio for fall term. The space is a newly renovated 1bed/1bath in-law apartment located in the historic College Hill neighborhood, two blocks from Burt Hall. The space includes the entire apartment/garage building, a fenced backyard, a parking space, and your own washer and dryer (installed new in 2017). I enjoy gardening, so you will have access to all the produce in my raised beds, fruit tree, and flower beds, but there is no obligation to you to care for them. All living space is located upstairs in the apartment, but I have outfitted the garage with a beer fridge and couch, and it also works well as a personal fitness center and outdoor gear storage spot 🙂
The start/end dates for the sublease are flexible, beginning in August, ending in December. This space is perfect, especially for someone wanting to check out Corvallis before deciding where to live for the rest of their degree or for a fall internship. Rent is $750/month and utilities are usually between $20-35. No smoking, please. If you are interested, please contact me via email at clarkc(at)oregonstate.edu. Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • Hi!

I’m finishing my PhD and am moving to Maryland, so my house is becoming available on August 1st. It is a duplex in Philomath, and the owners are a young couple who live in the other half with their incredibly adorable toddler. We’ve lived here for three years, and it’s been wonderful. They are hoping to replace us with some graduate students, or a family.

There is a well established herb garden in a raised bed in the backyard, and a cute patio which is perfect for a firepit.

  • Hi all,

I am posting to recommend a housing listing that has just opened. I lived with Elizabeth and Stella during my first year in Corvallis. They were wonderful! Great home to move into for a new comer to Corvallis. Conveniently located, spacious home and room with storage and onsite free laundry. The kitchen is open for use all day every day. Elizabeth (mom) and Stella (daughter) are fun to live with and they respect privacy. They are looking for a female tenant preferably someone in graduate school.

Let me know if you have questions about living with them, and check out the craig’s listing. https://corvallis.craigslist.org/roo/6575016991.html

  • Looking for a summer sub-letter–a female mature student or young professional–to fill a room in a shared house between campus and downtown, easy walking distance from both, in a quiet neighborhood. Flexible start/end date around mid-June, ending around September 1. Ideal for someone wanting to check out Corvallis before deciding where to live in the fall, or for a summer internship. The big, old, clean house has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The available room is upstairs and has two(!) walk-in closets. There is a shared kitchen, living/dining room, huge basement (for storage–which will be useful for sub-letting), and washer/dryer. Rent is $450/month and utilities range from ~$20-90 depending on the season. There are three other women living in the house, two young professionals and one grad student. No smoking or pets, please–the landlord lives across the street and is very kind, attentive and helpful, but it also means following the rules! If interested or with any questions please email molineh(at)oregonstate.edu and share a little about yourself. Thanks!

  • I’m a third year Plant Pathology PhD student looking for 2-3 bedroom place for my family of three and a small dog. Current landlord is selling our house.

Please pass along any leads! Thank you!

  • 3 Bedrooms available in a 4 bedroom house in NW Corvallis. One in June, two in July. Lease goes through June 2019.

The house: 1450 NW 15th Street. 4 bedrooms. Rent: 425 + utilities (~500-ish with utilities).

Pros: 15/20 minute walk, <10 minute of a bike ride to campus. ~ 3 mins to Trader Joes, Fred Meyers and Winco. Huge backyard with a fire pit, hammock, gardening space, occasional deer, and a sweet picnic table. Huge garage with storage space, plenty of parking space outside. Chill neighbors, chiller housemates. Washer, Dryer and Dishwasher in the house.

Cons: No pets. The house is kinda old, but everything works; great for grad student living conditions.

I am: 3rd year PhD in Applied Economics. Respectful, quiet, clean and won't bother any of your stuff. My room may be a tad messy when school gets crazy but keep the public spaces in the house clean. I like having friends sometimes over the weekend. Email: kulkarnk@oregonstate.edu

  • Hey everyone,

We are looking for a 3rd roommate in a 3 bedroom/1.5 bath house in South Corvallis for April 15 (lease term and move in can be a little flexible!). One of our roommates just got a job in Portland and has to move ASAP.

The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac and has 2 covered porches, a yard with a fire pit, and space for gardening. It’s a 15 minute bike ride from OSU as well as near the Route 6 bus line, and is close to the South Corvallis Co-op, Burrito Heaven, Willamette Park, and the Sports Park. Parking is available, as well as space for bikes. There’s a washer and dryer in the garage, and some additional storage space.

The room is 10’x10′ with a decent sized closet, and is $500/month plus utilities and a $500 security deposit. No pets.

    About us:
I’m a 3rd year PhD student in Integrative Biology and my roommate is in his first year of a PhD in the Math department. We both enjoy biking, gardening, and cooking, although our main focus is school. We like to be able to come home to a relaxed (and clean!) living space, but also have friends over for a beer or two, or the occasional get-together.

Let me know if you’re interested and I can provide more information and photos, or answer any questions.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

We are a gay couple who has a 2BD/2BA apartment unit. The master suite (furnished bedroom with private, full bath) is available for rent at $650 (including utilities). Security deposit is $200, refundable upon move-out. There is also a $50 application fee (through the apartment complex).

It’s a 5-10 minute drive to OSU or a 15-20 minute bike ride. Street parking available. Unit includes a small covered patio, washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher, and electric stove. The room includes a queen bed, closet, and bedside lamp. There is also space for a desk/work area. The complex has an outdoor pool/jacuzzi, community room (including pool table and tanning bed), free printing and coffee bar, and a 24/7 gym and shower. Bald Hill Natural Area (https://tinyurl.com/m32g2l2) and Grand Oaks Park (https://tinyurl.com/y7j7k26z) are within walking distance from the complex.

No smoking or additional pets; we have two friendly cats.

We request that the unit stays within 60-70 F all year. The apartment stays very cool in the summer thanks to the trees surrounding this ground-floor unit.

This living arrangement is ideal for college students who enjoy a quiet space and a gay-friendly environment. The apartment lacks a conventional entertainment/living room because the main space is our work space.

If you have any questions or are interested in a visit, let us know through here or at sarkozij@oregonstate.edu. Pics are available on the CGE Housing Facebook page.

  • I have a large, fully furnished room for rent in my home –
    – separate entry and living space (not a roommate situation)
    – full bathroom with shower
    – refrigerator, microwave, and food storage area
    – attic storage space
    – one off-street parking spot
    – potential garden space and indoor bike storage
    – 2.3 miles from Kerr Admin Bldg. via Avery
    – 3 blocks from the #6 bus stop
There are photos in the craigslist posting “Quiet Southtown room for lease.”
$525/month plus $250 refundable cleaning deposit. Clean and quiet private space; I’m an introverted working professional currently teaching at OSU. Wireless Internet, utilities, and compost/recycling included. No smokers, drugs, or pets. Available Sept. 1; ideal for someone responsible who plans to stay through the school year or longer.

  • Hi Everyone,

There are three bedrooms available in a five bedroom house on grant near campus, coffee shops, and grocery stores. Rent for the rooms ranges from $277 to $427. Email samm.newton@gmail.com if you are interested.

It is in a good location, is pet friendly, and has a big back porch, yard, and garage.

  • I have two rooms available in my two-story, six-bedroom house one block north of campus that I’d like to rent to fellow grad students. The house is 3,300 sq. ft., has a sizable backyard (with an apple and a pear tree), off-street parking for one car per tenant, and each floor has its own full kitchen and bathroom. It’s also equipped with air conditioning, heating, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.

Starting September 16th, one room is available on the main floor for $600/mo and one room downstairs is available for $550/mo (plus an equal share of utilities for each room– est. ~$40-$70/mo). The rooms themselves are unfurnished, but the common areas have the basics provided. No pets can be accommodated as there is already a young, very friendly dog in the house.

The other current tenants and I (all male) frequently spend time in the house working on our research or other schoolwork, so the atmosphere house needs to stay quiet and calm to accommodate those schedules. As a result, living here would not be a good fit for you if you’re interested in a place that regularly hosts social events– but if you’re interested in living somewhere where you can reasonably expect to study and work on your own schedule, send me an email at merriler@oregonstate.edu and I can provide you with pictures of the house, its address, and we can arrange a time to meet if everything looks good.

  • Hello,

I’m an incoming PhD student looking to rent a room or to share an apartment. I’m pretty quiet and (I think) easy to get along with. I’m fine with pets, don’t smoke, although I’m fine with smokers, and am open to living with any gender.

The upper limit on my budget is somewhere in the $600-650 range. I’m hoping to live near campus, but open to living farther away.

If you have a place for rent, or are looking for someone to share an apartment with, email me at aidan.estelle95@gmail.com or text me at (858)539-5122

  • Hey all,

Anyone looking for a roommate? My budget is about $600, but cheaper is better! I’m going into construction engineering. Very easy going, easy to get along with, and very reasonable. From Minnesota. I don’t care if I live with a male or female, and pets are not a problem.

  • Hi,

I’m a first year masters student and looking for an available room in a house/ap, ideally starting in August. I’m a 28yr female who is responsible, clean, and easy-going. My hobies inccude biking, hiking, reading, grabbing a beer when I have time. I was awarded a GTA so academics will be my priority.

    Cheers,
    Julia

  • Hi folks,

So, I’m looking for anyone that would be interested in renting a house for the coming year. I’m starting my Anthropology MA and husband will *hopefully* be starting his MA in English next year.

My hubs and I are leaving Ohio August 13th and we are not having any luck finding a place… We have lived in a small one bedroom for the past three years and were hoping to find decently priced small place near Corvallis, Albany, or Lebanon…but holy price jacking.
Whats really killing our search is the fact that we have three cats, and here’s the kicker, a (as of now) two month old.

We are late twenties/early thirties if that makes a difference to you. We are both pretty homey like and introverted, both avid readers, love movies, and for the most part, nerdy with a side of cool. I love wine and coffee and cooking and baking from scratch- and share baked goods. 😉

Our daughter, thus far, is pretty chill like we are and has a quiet and sweet disposition (seriously we hit the jackpot on newborns). Our three cats are cats… one of them talks and is very social, the other two are pretty stealthy, but all three are nice dudes who really just want some love.

I know this is a reach, but we are kind of getting desperate… we would split rent/utilities 2/3 and 1/3. SO if anyone is crazy enough to consider living with us, email me please and let’s get to know each other!

    (rosa.christophel@gmail.com )
    Thanks,
    Rosa

  • Hey All,

PhD candidate looking to fill my lease when I leave to study in France. I leave at the end of October, so start time can be anytime between now and then as I have another place I can live in the interim. House is a minute away from campus on Orchard Ave, particularly close to Science buildings like ALS/Nash/LPI. Rents is $533.33 a month excluding most utilities. I’ve lived here for 3 years and it has been great! There’s a nice yard for gardening if you’re into it, with grapes/cherries/apples already well established. 2 male roommates already there, nice guys from the Biochem/Biophys department. Email me if you’re interested: jespersn@oregonstate.edu.

  • Hi Everyone!

I’m an incoming MS student in the civil engineering department looking for a room in an apartment/house ideally starting late August/early September. My hobbies include archery, hiking/running, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

  • I am looking for 2 roommates to fill the great home (aka the Estrogen Nest) that I’ve rented in Corvallis for 2 yrs now (love the landlords).

The house: Three bedrooms (two for the new roommates) are clustered together on one end of the house next to a regular sized bathroom, and on the other end of the house is a studio with a smaller bathroom (I live over here). All roommates share our nice sized kitchen, carpeted living room, and gas/fake fireplace front room. We have a covered patio, huge garage for gear, and utility room with washer/dryer. We also have an amazing garden (food and flowers) that roommates contribute to and reap the delights from.

The roommates: I (Erin) am a PhD student and Delia is a post-doc at OSU (Integrative Biology and Fisheries and Wildlife respectively). We are pretty quiet most of the time, working a lot, doing our own things, but sometimes we cook or go out together. We also occasionally throw large-ish parties (dance parties, onsey parties, outdoor movie nights).

Rent is 395 a month + about 40-80 a month for utilities. One year lease. Female roommates only. No pets.

Please email us about coming to see the house and meeting the roommates if you’re interested in living with us.

    Sweet, Erin

    • Hello.
My name is Marina, I’m 24 and I’m going to Corvallis to take an English course at OSU from June 19 to August 30.
I am looking for a place to live in this period because after this period I will be going to Burns to intern at the OSU Research Center.
Would you still have a vacancy? Photos?
      Thanks

    • Hey Erin,

My name is Sunny and I contacted you last year about living at your house. My friend (Paige) and I are house hunting again for the upcoming year/part of summer and are wondering if we can come by to take a look if the 2 rooms are still available!

      Thanks,
      Sunny

  • Hi!

I’m 23, and I’ll be a second-year public health major. My cat and I are looking for a place to live and roommates for the upcoming school year. My lease ends at the end of August, so I was looking for a lease that starts middle to end of August with a price range under 700 without utilities.

Let me know if you have anything or know anybody looking!

  • Hello,

My name is Eric and I’m moving to Corvallis in September to start my M.S. at OSU in Integrative Biology. I am looking for housing near campus, or at least within biking distance from campus for the 2017-2018 school year.

I currently live in Northern AZ and work for the USGS doing ecological monitoring on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. I just turned 30, I’m male, I like to keep a clean and tidy house. It is pretty important for me to find like minded housemates, as far as cleanliness goes. In the past I have become the primary cleaner which has resulted in bad living situations. I love the outdoors, cycling, woodworking, projects, backpacking, boating and fishing. I like being active but I also enjoy lazy days inside, I’m pretty easy going. I enjoy having fun and socializing, I also enjoy and respect personal time for research and studying. I currently have enough furniture for an entire house, although I’d like to get rid of most of it before I move unless it is needed.

If you have a room or are looking for someone to go in on a house/apartment with starting in September, and you think I might work out then please send an email or a text message and let’s talk.

Thanks and good luck to everyone.

    Cheers,

  • Hello everyone,

I am a 35 years old PhD student finishing my first year in Materials Science. My landlord wants to rent our house to some people she knows so me and my housemates are moving out. I am looking for a place to live starting July 1st.

I’m looking for a clean and quiet place as I am studying hard to ensure the continuation of my funding from the university. I use headphones whenever I am on my computer. I’m clean and quiet. I don’t have a pet, I don’t smoke and I don’t party. I have a good reference from my current landlord if needed.

I only have a bicycle so I prefer houses that are not too far away from the campus or at least close to a bus stop. Private bathroom is preferred but not essential.

    Regards,

    Okan

    About the house:

House is located near 10th and Western and is within a 5 minute walk of south campus (Dixon rec center, Mac Field House, ect), close to downtown (you can get to Squirrels/Safeway in 10 minutes!), and Avery park.

Our neighborhood is quite and family orientated. See pics of the house here (https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/940-SW-10th-St-Corvallis-OR-97333/48198993_zpid/)Your bedroom would be the smaller one, and your bathroom is the one with the claw foot tub. Tons of storage in the basement!

About us- my partner and I live in the master bedroom- we love to surf, camp, be outside, ride bikes, and cook. We are clean, quite, and often gone on the weekends. We are both grad students in the biology department and are not big partiers but we do have friends over sometimes!

I have a dog who is shy, sweet, and very well behaved but we can’t have another pet in the home. Sorry!

If you’re interested- lets talk! 541-360-2916

    Thanks,

    Alissa and Dave

    • Hello Alissa and Dave,

I am wondering if the 3rd room is still available in your house? If so, I would be interested to discuss it further.

  • Hi all!

Anyone interested in a room in a 4 bedroom house close to campus? We’re three pretty studious girls who would love another roommate! The room that is available is the only room on the ground floor and has a full bath that is also the guest bath (but honestly we hardly ever use it so it would basically be your own bathroom!). There is a small side yard too and rent would be $387.50. There is also an option to sublet as well beginning July 1.

If you’re interested please email me: dvoraka at oregon state.edu

  • Updated: Good day! I am 22 years old and I will be starting graduate school at OSU this fall and working as a GTA. I need help finding an apartment complex that caters to a graduate student’s lifestyle as opposed to the stereotypical college student lifestyle.

I am looking for a 1 bed or studio with 1 full bathroom and I would like to move in by August 1st. My budget is about $700 – $800 for rent.

Please email me with suggestions or advice on which apartment complexes to live in. Any advice or information is appreciated! Thank you.

    My email address is annatotty@ymail.com

  • Good day! I am a 22 year old first year grad student entering this fall. I am looking for housing in an apartment complex that caters to the very studious graduate student’s lifestyle.

Please email me if you work for, own, or know of an apartment complex that has mainly graduate students and quiet residents.

I am looking for a 1 bed or studio with 1 bath. I would like to live in a pet free and non smoking environment. It would be great if all bills were bundled in with the price of rent but that is not a must. I need to move in by August 1st and my budget is about $700 – $800 for rent.

  • Hi folks,

My husband and I (and soon to be Earth-side baby, plus 3 cats…) are moving to Corvallis as early as end of July for me to start my grad degree. We are signed up for a few different property rental vacancy lists, but I wanted to ask if any of you might have suggestions for housing for a late 20s/early 30s young family. We are both homebodies who enjoy quiet surroundings. We are open to living further from campus and are fine with (very) small living quarters even with a child. Thank you in advanced for any advice/tips/suggestions! Please feel free to email me at michaero@oregonstate.edu

    Thanks!

  • Hi CGE!

My roommate and I are looking for people to take over our lease starting in September, when we will be moving for new jobs. The apartment is a 2-story townhouse with kitchen and living room downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. Fenced in back patio and side yard. We are the corner lot away from the road, so we have plenty of peace and quiet. Plenty of storage and space and driveway parking. No W/D but there is a laundromat a couple of blocks away so we’ve never had an issue.

Pets are allowed with a $25 monthly fee.

    Available September 15th (negotiable)

    Please see Craigslist ad:

    https://corvallis.craigslist.org/apa/6142953605.html

  • Hi everyone!!

I am subleasing my room in a two bedroom apartment at the Retreat for the last two months of my lease (July 1st-August 31st). If anyone is interested please send me an email @ donisn@oregonstate.edu! 🙂

**Oh, I will pay $134 of the rent for those two months!
    **Sorry, females only!

  • I have four rooms available in my two-story, six-bedroom house one block north of campus that I’d like to rent to fellow students. The house is 3,300 sq. ft., has a sizable backyard (with an apple and a pear tree), each floor has its own kitchen and bathroom, and off-street parking for one car per tenant. It’s also equipped with air conditioning, heating, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.

Starting July 1st, one room is available on the main floor for $600/mo and all three rooms downstairs are available for $550/mo each (plus an equal share of utilities for each room– est. ~$65/mo). The rooms themselves are unfurnished, but the common areas have the basics provided. No pets can be accommodated as there is already a young, very friendly dog in the house.

The other current tenant and I (both male PhD students) frequently spend time in the house working on our research or other schoolwork, so I’d strongly prefer to keep the house itself quiet and calm. If you’re interested in living somewhere where you can reasonably expect to study and work on your own schedule, send me an email at merriler@oregonstate.edu— I’m happy to answer any questions, provide pictures of the property, or arrange to show you around the place if you’re already in the area.

  • Hello all!

I am starting a PhD in geography and my wife is starting a PhD in public policy in the fall and we are currently looking for housing. We are looking ideally for a small house or duplex (1-2 bedrooms) somewhere within biking distance of campus, up to 5 miles or so. We do not have any pets and are hoping to spend something like $1000-1300 a month. It seems like options are fairly limited so if anybody happens to have any leads or knows somebody moving out that would be terrific!

I can be reached at robertsb@oregonstate.edu

    Thanks!

  • Hi Everyone!

I am going to be a 2nd year masters student at OSU next year. I have 1 room+bathroom available in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment. Per person its $472.50/month rent and ~$45/month utilities (wifi/electric).
Move-in/sign the lease anytime between now and June 15th (rent is paid through June 1st!) Current lease goes through August, but I plan to renew for next year and stay through August 2018.

Laundry and dishwasher are in the apartment and it’s close to the pool and workout room. I’m generally pretty laid back and I don’t throw parties. I make a point to keep common areas clean and don’t smoke. The apartment is a bit off campus (~3 miles) so it’s quiet and a bit nicer than some of the stuff closer to campus for this price. But, if that’s a concern it’s close to a bus stop that goes to campus or I have a car and would be willing to share rides to campus. Animals are case-by-case with apartment management.

If you are interested or have more questions, please email me asap, colvinju@oregonstate.edu. (I have someone interested in renting the whole apartment, but I would rather stay here if I can!)

    Thanks!
    Julie

    • The apartment has been rented out (sorry!)
I’m now looking for housing close to the north side of campus, ideally starting in August/September.
If you’re looking for a roommate to share a place, please feel free to contact me! I would like to find a place before the end of the term if possible.

      colvinju@oregonstate.edu

I’m looking for someone who is clean, respectful and responsible. No pets, no smoking.

  • Hey folks,

I am looking for a subleaser for this coming fall. My amazing studio apartment will be available mid September – late December or early January. I am heading south to Flagstaff, AZ, for an internship. Move-in/out dates are flexible; we can discuss what works for you.

I will be leaving my studio furnished, and it’s attached to an awesome house with 3 awesome roommates. You can utilize the common spaces (living room, dinning room, large kitchen), although the studio does have a 2 burner stove, sink, and bathroom to itself. The house also has a washer/dryer, HUGE garage, and garden. Parking is plentiful. Short bike ride (7min) or walk (20min) to the north side of campus. House is right by the north side Co-op.

I’m looking for someone who is clean, kind, and will respect the wonderful roommates and furnishings that I leave behind for these 3 or so months.

Rent is a flat $600 a month, and I’ll continue to cover utilities (internet, electric, gas, etc.) No pets.

Email me if you are interested, and I can show you the studio! Erin Abernethy (efabernethy@gmail.com)

  • Hello Everyone, I am moving out of my house in mid-June and am looking for someone to take my place. We are 2 miles from campus with a bus stop for the 7 (which goes to campus and downtown) right across the street from our house. You would be sharing the home with 2 other individuals and a black lab who is really sweet, house-trained and well-behaved. We are withing walking distance of Trader Joes, Market of Choice, Safeway and Winco and are about a 5- minute drive to Chip Ross and 10 minutes to Peavy for those interested in hiking. The house has a backyard with a porch and dogs will be considered but must get along with the current pooch. Rent is $450 a month + utilities which generally are around $60 in warmer months and $70-90 in the winter because of the heat. If you would like more information or to take a look please feel free to email me @ nelsenb@oregonstate.edu.

We are looking for a grad student to occupy the third (furnished) bedroom, normally allocated for Couchsurfing or Airbnb. The apartment is 5 mins driving from OSU. No dogs are allowed but one cat would be fine. You’d share the bathroom with only one of us. Rent is $600.

The room is available from now– come meet us and see if it could be a good fit.

  • Hi all,

I am an incoming Environmental Toxicology PhD student looking for a place for my boyfriend and I, and a 4 year old medium sized dog. We are interested in a place with a backyard, that is biking distance to campus. We are hoping to move to Corvallis around the end of August. Our budget is $1,000 a month. Please let me know if anyone has anything that will be available!

I can be contacted at brivera0521@gmail.com

  • Hello all! I just wanted to post on here seeing if anyone was interested in a nice place in east Springfield, starting immediately? Rent is $400/mo + utilities (~$60/mo). Two cats. Month to month rent. House is fully furnished, you’d just have to furnish your room. If interested (or if you know anyone who might be), please let me know as soon as possible and I’ll give you more details!

  • Hello! I am an incoming PhD student in Public Policy and need to rent a home for my family! 🙂 There will be 2 adults, 1 child and some sweet doggies (therapy dog certifications available upon request). Yard preferred. We are mid to late-30s, professionals, make excellent tenants and believe in helping to create a safe and supportive neighborhood!Excellent rental references available! Please help! Corvallis housing looks rough! Thank you!

  • Bedrooms with Private Bath, unfurnished, is available starting late June 2017. $500/month. Location: Near Avery Park, Corvallis, OR. 10-15mins bike to Campus.

The lease goes from July 1st 2017 to June 30, 2018.

I have one, possibly two bedrooms each with its own private bath that will be available starting mid to late June 2017. Move in date in mid to late June can be negotiated with the existing tenants.

The bedrooms are part of an apartment with 5 bedrooms each with its own private baths. The bedroom is around 120 square feet, and 10ft x 13ft in dimension. There is a large common kitchen and dining area with 2 refrigerators which you will be sharing. The kitchen is fully stocked with kitchenware, you can bring and use your own or you can use the ones I stocked the kitchen with so long as you take excellent care of them as if they were your own.

My nature in the kitchen is kind of like Colette in the animated Pixar movie Ratatouille in the scene where Colette teaches Linguini/Remy the proper professional way to handle himself in the kitchen. “Colette: [Linguini is making a mess at the kitchen] What is this? Keep – your station – clear! When the meal rush comes, what will happen? Messy stations slow things down. Food doesn’t go, orders pile up, disaster! I’ll make this easier to remember: keep your station clear, or I WILL KILL YOU!” – Haha.

Washer and dryer are inside the apartment. No coins needed here, they are normal washer and dryers.

The $500/month includes high-speed wifi internet (70+ Mbps), free parking, and garbage service. Electricity and water is separate from rent, in the coldest part of the winter it is around $66 per person for water and electricty, in the summer it is around $50. Heat is supplied via hydronic radiant floor heat, there is no air conditioning to the apartment. The apartments were brand new in September of 2015 so it is quite energy efficient and very clean.

I am looking for working professionals, or serious students. The apartment stays very quiet all the time. If you like to have parties or guests over frequently this is not the right fit for you.

Thank you for reading this ad. Please respond via email (louieed@oregonstate.edu) with some information about yourself if you are interested. Please provide a phone number so I can call you to arrange a time for you to see the place.

No pets please and absolutely no smoking and that includes marijuana.

No live in/with partner due to Corvallis ordinance which doesn’t allow more than 5 unrelated people to live in the same apartment.

    Best
    -Edward

  • Hi everyone!

My roommates and I are looking to fill a room in our 4-bedroom/2-bath house starting in July. Our house is conveniently located near Corvallis High School (~10 minutes by bike to campus or downtown). It’s a super nice living space with washer/dryer, dishwasher, a big backyard with lots of room for gardening, a garage, six chickens, and a rabbit.

The roommates include me (a Masters student in the Water Resources Engineering Program) and two “non-traditional” undergrads, ~24-25 years old, majoring in Natural Resources Management and Pre-Optometry. We are all quiet, clean, and respectful. The room that is available is $380/month and utilities average $75- $100 a month depending on the season.

Please let me know if you’re interested! You can contact me at yeageame@oregonstate.edu. Thanks!

  • Hi all! My boyfriend and I are looking for a 2 bedroom, pet-friendly house (ideally w/ yard and garage, close-ish to campus) to move into sometime between mid-June and early September. Craigslist is pretty lean right now, and we thought maybe we could connect with a couple of other students who will be graduating/moving and know in advance their house will be up for grabs… If you have any leads or advice, please get in touch! Thanks a bunch! wallk@oregonstate.edu

  • Hi all! I am in the process of looking for housing within biking distance of OSU beginning August or September. • Hi everyone!

I’m currently living in a 3 bedroom house in South Town. I’ll be leaving town from the end of June till the end of September and am looking to sublet my room in this house. Rent is $550 plus a portion of the Internet bill. The house has great lighting, an adorable backyard, and will be fully furnished; as I am leaving my bed, dressers, and desk behind. My room in the house is quite spacious, the room has a lovely view, its own attached bathroom with shower, and there is space in the street for parking. If interested please send me an email or text:

  • I have one room available for rent starting June 1st in my two-story, six-bedroom house one block north of campus. The house is 3,300 sq. ft., has a sizable backyard (with an apple and a pear tree), each floor has its own kitchen and bathroom, and off-street parking is available for one car per tenant. It’s also equipped with air conditioning, heating, and a laundry room with washer and dryer.

The available room on the on the main floor is $600/mo plus an equal share of utilities (est. ~$50/mo), and is unfurnished. I’m currently able to accommodate people looking to live here for the summer, until winter break, or for a full year. The other two people living on this floor are me and another PhD student (both male), and I’d prefer to keep the house all grad students if possible. I also have a large, extremely friendly dog living here as well so no other pets can be considered.

I’d like to keep the house quiet and calm, so that those living there can reasonably expect to use it as a place to study and work on their own schedules. Basically, living here would not be a good fit for you if you’re looking to regularly host groups of friends in our common areas.

I have can provide pictures of the house and room, and would be more than happy to show you around the place if you’re already in the area. If you’re interested or have any other questions, send me an email at merriler@oregonstate.edu.

Cats and other pets on a case by case basis. No weed. Alcohol ok.

A little about us. One is a 31 year old, male graduate student at OSU. The other is a 25 year old female working full time. We are a mature, quiet household. • Hi,
I will be starting my 2nd year as grad student in the Environmental and Molecular Toxicology program in the fall, and I am looking to move out of my current apartment September 2017. Ideally, I would like a 2 or 3 bed apartment/house that is a 5-10 minute bike ride from the north end of campus. My budget is around $550-$650 with utilities.

Please let me know if you are looking for a roommate, or would like to search for a place together!

A little about myself: I absolutely love the outdoors and try to get out of town almost every weekend. I do love to cook and share food, and I try to keep a clean common space. I spend a lot of time outside and usually come home to relax/Netflix/sleep. I definitely love meeting new people and do not mind hosting friends/family for an evening/overnight. Also, I love animals and I’m considering getting a cat.

We are looking for a place with a fairly large bedroom (150sqft or larger, if possible), a private bathroom, and clean and neat roommate(s). Must be LGBT/queer friendly. We don’t have any pets but we’re both cat people, and are fine living with cats. Our budget is $800/month maximum for rent.

Our lease in Tampa ends July 20th, and we’re looking to move in sometime between then and September 1st. We will be in Corvallis May 11th-15th to visit campus and look for apartments. • Helllloooo! I am looking for a decent person to fill my spot in a 3 bedroom house ASAP. I have to move, and though my lease goes until June, my landlord (super nice) said it is okay to leave the lease if I find someone. The house is really nice, by WINCO and bus stop on Havengreen Pl. It has a huge back yard (fenced – great for sunbathing/ dog) and washer and dryer. There is also a garage, with room to store things, and garbage along with internet included. You just pay rent (about $630) and electric (not too much). The room is super cute with two closets and a window that opens to the cul-de-sac. Let me know if you are interested! OH! It is also very cat friendly…

  • Hi there!

My name is Sydney, I am going to be an MS student in the Fall in the Water Resource Science Department. I am looking for roommates to live with for the 2017-2018 school year. If anyone would like to room, let me know! I am up for any kind of accommodations, but I am thinking that renting a 4 bedroom house between campus and the city would be ideal. Looking to keep rent in the 400-600$ area. Email me at weiss24@purdue.edu if you are interested.

    Thanks

  • Hi, folks!

I am looking to fill my spot in a 3 bedroom house by April 1st. It’s a great house with a garage and a backyard (including fire pit!). Housemates are two great ladies: a second-year PhD student in Integrative Biology; and a young professional who works in town. The house vibe is relaxed but fairly tidy. Neighborhood (South Town, near Crystal Lake Park) is cute and quiet, and it’s a great bikeride to town, about 15 minutes to campus.

I’m happy to answer questions about the place or the neighborhood — South Town is awesome and I’m sad to leave it. Between Willamette Park, South Town Co-op, Crystal Lake Sports Park, Burrito Heaven, and Beer:30, what more could anyone need? Oh, the new South Town Tried & True is literally the sunniest spot to sit & sip in Corvallis, if you don’t count rooftops.

Contact me at lundea@oregonstate.edu and I can send pictures, chat, meet up, etc.

    Best,
    Katarina

  • I have one room available for rent starting March 1st in my two-story, six-bedroom house one block north of campus. The house is 3,300 sq. ft., has a sizable backyard (with an apple and a pear tree), each floor has its own kitchen and bathroom, and off-street parking is available for one car per tenant. It’s also equipped with air conditioning, heating, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.

The room is $600/mo plus an equal share of utilities (est. ~$50/mo), and is unfurnished. You would be sharing the floor with me (male CS PhD student), and and a male undergrad. I have a young, extremely friendly dog living here as well, so no other pets can be considered.

  • I have a large, 200 sq ft, room available for rent in my five-bedroom, 3-bath house. The room is immediately adjacent to a newly remodeled bathroom that is shared with one other part-time renter (dual sinks, shower and toilet separate from sink area). The room and bathroom are located at the end of a hall, providing privacy and an almost studio-like feel which we have rented to couples in the past. My house is located on 2 acres of wooded property off Oak Creek Rd. We have immediate access to numerous trail heads, including Bald Hill, Finton Green, Oak Creek, and the neighborhood is private and quiet. My home is large with a fully equipped kitchen (all the necessary toys and gadgets), laundry, and comfortable furnishings throughout. To make life easier on all renters, and foodies in particular, each renter shares a full-size fridge with only one other renter. Because I am not a property management company, but own and live in this home with my fiance, we take immediate care of any problems that arise. Our home is less than 5 miles to campus, which many roommates bike, but buses do not run down Oak Creek Drive, making biking and driving your transportation options. We purchase a carpool pass each year, and have worked out carpool arrangements with renters in the past. While our renters are currently older graduate students in the natural sciences and engineering, as well as an established faculty research assistant, our home is particularly appealing to anyone that prefers a more relaxed setting in the woods. We have a dog that will love you, the human, the moment you walk through the door, but cannot live with or visit other dogs. We have had cats in the house, but they were “room cats”, restricted to the renters room that owned the cat (due to both our dog, but also allergen concerns from other renters). Because we are avid birders and have many feeders around the property, we do not allow outdoor cats. A studio at Oak Park apartment but it has a bedroom, a living-room, a bathroom and a small kitchen. So, it is more like a small one-bed room apartment and this studio is very popular (See photos and info in the following website: https://www.crest-properties.com/oak_park#photos).

  • We have a large home with two rooms in a finished basement available for rent. Located in the Monteith neighborhood in Albany, we are only 10 miles to OSU, and within a short walk to great downtown restaurants, the hospital, shops, bus-stop, train station and the Albany Farmers Market.

Two large furnished rooms are available (they are larger than our bedrooms upstairs). Each room has a full bed, desk, and plenty of storage for clothing and other belongings. One bedroom has a lounge chair, the other a love seat. Private bathroom located right by the rooms. Laundry facilities are included as well as full use of the kitchen, living room, family room and some storage space in the basement/garage.

We are a family of 3 (our daughter is 7 years old). We keep quiet hours between 9pm and 7am but this varies on the weekends.

    Rent includes:

All utilities (water, sewer, electric, heat, garbage)
    Free high-speed wi-fi
    Free use of laundry room
    Use of yard & BBQ

    $550/month. $275 refundable deposit

We are looking to rent to a young professional or graduate student but if you are not one of these, we would still consider someone who is a good fit. We’d prefer someone non-smoking.

If you are interested please respond with a little about yourself. Thank you!

  • I’d like to rent out a room in my 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home located near 12th and Tyler.

It is available now through the end of Spring term. I’m holding off on a craigslist ad for the time being, so here are the details:

$500 (Includes everthing: water, trash, electric, gas & high speed internet)

The upstairs has 3 bedrooms. It would be shared with just me and we can use the spare room for whatever. Right now it is basically empty. I’ve been doing Air BnB in the other room so it currently contains a twin bed (that isn’t too comfy) and a pretty comfy full size futon. But, if you have your own stuff we could easily move that to the spare room.

Downstairs has a front porch, side porch, backyard, driveway, large kitchen, bathroom, mudroom with washer and dryer, living room and a multi use area that is also my art studio, but is big enough that it could be shared. It’s a pretty sweet place, but is also super old so it has it’s quirks and downsides.

I am 32, a first year grad student, and I have two cats. I’m open to other pets but would like to discuss it first.

If you have any questions, or would like to come check it out, text me at 541.220.7407. Feel free to share with your non-grad student friends as long as they are also responsible adult human beings.

  • Hi,

There will be a room available in a four person house starting in January. There are two roommates doing a master of public policy and one doing mechanical engineering. The house is spacious and everyone is relatively clean and quiet. There is one bathroom, which has not been a problem for us. There is off-street parking and a bike shed that locks. Rent is $562 per month, which is a fantastic price considering the house is just two blocks from campus and Fred Meyers. We are looking for someone who can stay through at least mid-June when the lease expires. Sorry, no pets. Message me for more info.

  • Looking for a Short-Term Rental March-May 2017

Hey, my name is Dani and I’m heading over to Corvallis from around March 22 until around May 22 next year. I’m currently doing a research Masters through the University of Melbourne, Australia (my home country), on a project that’s running in South Africa, by Oregon State. I am looking for an affordable place to stay during that time period, that is easy enough to get to and from without having any personal transport. I’ll be working with the research group and writing up my thesis while I’m there, so will be keeping busy. I’m pretty clean and tidy, am happy to socialise every now and again but am also pretty good at doing my own thing and giving other people space. I love dogs, being outside and playing sport, and am really looking forward to seeing some of northern America, as I’ve never been there before. If you think you have something available during that time, or would like to clarify anything first, please get in touch!

    Thanks,
    Dani

    • Hi, Dani! I have a room opening up in April in the house I live in. It is a 2 bedroom/1 bath duplex (1 side of it), is close to campus, and has a garage for storage. The house is cozy and clean and is in a pretty nice neighborhood. I am a graduate student in ocean physics, and I surf, hike, and play music. If you are still looking for a place and are interested in mine, please contact me: jthomas@coas.oregonstate.edu
I can send photos and chat with you.
      Cheers,
      Jenny

  • Hello everyone!

I am looking for a sublet or a room from January through June 2017. My name is Dacotah-Victoria Splichalova. I’m a second year OSU graduate student in water resources. My advisor is Aaron Wolf in Geography. You cacn see my work at on my website: http://www.WaterPax.org. I travel a lot for my water work. I just returned yesterday from 3 months in Australia, and before I was in Argentina, Costa Rica and Panama. Been traveling for my research for just about a year now. It’s been great!

I would very much like to find a clean, positive place/home, closer to campus if possible. I don’t ride a bike. I’m outside the home a lot and outdoors a lot, and sleep when I’m home. I’m incredibly clean, enjoy doing dishes and living with people that are more or less the same.

I teach free surf lessons on Saturdays, and enjoy bringing new people out into the sea — housemates and friends welcome!

As I just arrived in Corvallis again, and I can meet and look at places starting today!

I would be interested in meeting with anyone if I sound like I could be a good fit for what you might have available.

Thank you for reading this message. I hope today finds you well!

    Yours in peace & water,

    Dacotah-Victoria Splichalova

  • Vet student seeking female housemate:

I am a female third-year veterinary student looking for one more female housemate starting January 1! One is a fourth-year veterinary student and the other is a doctoral student in public health. My medium-sized dog is living with us too, as well as one very friendly indoor-only cat. Both of the animals are very sweet and although I’d prefer no other animals in the house, I’d be open to discussion.

  • Hi,

My current roommate graduated, so I am looking for a roommate in a two-bedroom apartment.

I am looking for a roommate that could move in after September 10th. The place locates in SW 7th St (10min-ish walk to campus). It is walk/bike distance (10min) to campus. It is close to downtown, and also close to Safeway to do grocery. It is a 2bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. Rent is $415/month, utilities not included (electricity & internet), $300 for the deposit. The bedroom size is decent, and there is a small balcony attached to the kitchen. On-site parking is available. The neighborhood is quiet, and neighbors are all very friendly. It is a great place and I like it. One downside is, no on-site laundry room, I normally drive to the laundromat.

I am a graduate student at OSU, studying in Civil Engineering. I am pretty laid back. I hope to find someone who is outgoing, friendly, studious and financially responsible. It would be great to meet someone who could be a friend and who is responsible and be respectful to each other. This is not a party place, but I do enjoy have friends come over have food, watch movies, and get together occasionally. Not 420 friendly. No smoking. I know school can get crazy sometimes, but I would like to keep the place clean and organized, and I expect you to be the same. The place is not pet-friendly, sorry, landlord requires no pet.

If you are interested, send me an email. I will reply as soon as I can. Thanks!

  • Hello!

We’re looking for another graduate student to rent a private/master bedroom with a private bathroom. The house has 4 bedrooms (we are leaving one room empty as a study), laundry, a nice front yard and large back yard, a one-car driveway and easy street parking. We’re just north of the Osborn Aquatic Center with super easy access to 9th Street and Highway 20, thus quick entry to downtown and Highway 34. It’s about a 12 minute bike ride from campus. The bus will get you there in about the same time.

    Your housemates:

We love camping, biking, cooking, yoga, art, reading, gardening, and small get togethers, We sleep and wake early, averaging a 9-11p bed time and 6-9a wake. We drink but do not smoke cigarettes. Landlord says no pets =(

Aimee is in her second year of school in pre-Med. She is from Portland and spends many weekends traveling home for family. Her Vietnamese cooking will make you cry tears of joy.

Jamie is beginning her third year of graduate school in Human Development and Family Studies. She is often in her room or on campus reading, writing, and otherwise tending to her degree. She drinks tea (or whiskey) all day and fantasizes about having a social life.

Mykl is about to start his first year of graduate school in Horticulture. He is likely to be very busy with that, and otherwise fills his time around the house tending plants outside and aquariums inside. Lately he is attempting to make some beautiful small terrariums for his new office space and would be more than happy to help you make one or gift one to you. His constant smiling will light up your world! Or make you a little sick if you’re the pessimistic type.

We cook many meals in-house, no current dietary restraints but are respectful of any you may have. We have a chore-wheel which helps us keep communal areas in good order. We prefer a communal household but if you want your privacy, we are happy to leave you alone. Due to schooling restraints, parties are infrequent but welcomed with the approval of all housemates. The common areas are mostly furnished but there is room to accommodate what you may wish to add.

Thank you for reading this, contact us (jaramija@oregonstate.edu) for questions and to schedule a viewing!
    We’ll see you soon =]

    • Hi there I’m a MS student in Crop & Soils, do you still have rooms open? I’d like to see the place / meet the other roommates if so.

      Thanks!

  • Hey all,

We are looking for a 3rd roommate in a 3 bedroom/1.5 bath house in South Corvallis.

The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac and has 2 covered porches, a nice yard with a fire pit, and space for gardening. It’s a 15 minute bike ride from OSU as well as near the Route 6 bus line, and is close to the South Corvallis Co-op, Burrito Heaven, Crystal Lake, and the Sports Park. Parking is available, as well as space for bikes. There’s a washer and dryer in the garage, and some additional storage space.

The room is 10’x10′ with a decent sized closet, and is $500/month plus utilities and a $500 security deposit. One year lease. No pets.

    About us:
I’m a second year PhD student in Integrative Biology and my roommate is starting her Master’s in Botany and Plant Pathology. We both enjoy biking, gardening, and cooking, although our main focus is school. We like to be able to come home to a relaxed living space, but also have friends over for a beer or two, or the occasional get-together.

Let me know if you’re interested and I can provide more information and photos, or answer any questions. The room is available anytime, but we are ideally looking for someone to move in by September 1 at the latest.

    Thanks!

  • Hello all,

I’ve just moved in to a two-story, six-bedroom house one block north of campus that I’d like to rent to fellow graduate students. The house is 3,300 sq. ft., has a sizable backyard (with an apple and a pear tree), full kitchen and bathroom on both floors, and off-street parking for up to six cars.

Starting Sept. 1st, one room is available on the main floor for $600/mo and all three rooms in the basement are available for $550/mo each (plus an equal share of utilities for each room). No pets, but there will be a dog in the house.

I’d like to keep the house relatively quiet and calm, so that its tenants (myself included) can reasonably expect to use it as a place to study and work on their own schedules. If you’re interested or have any other questions, contact me at house@erichmerrill.com

  • Hey everyone,

My roommate and I are looking for a third male to share our apartment. It’s a 2 bedroom, one bathroom apartment, but very spacious. We currently have all our beds in one room and desks in the other room, so we share sleeping quarters. Total rent is $1000 a month, split between everyone, so with three of us living there, it would be $333 each a month, plus water, gas, internet, and parking, which usually add up to another $50-60 a month. The apartment is at the corner of 26th and Monroe, above the Beanery, right across from campus; it’s a bit noisy, but very easy to get to campus, downtown, and shopping. Sadly, no pets are allowed. The apartment is fully furnished – we even have an extra bed, desk, and dresser left over from a previous roommate.

Please contact me at stenoell@gmail.com if you’re interested. Lease can start whenever you want it to.

  • I am a 30 year old male working towards my masters in the College of Forestry. I have a 3 year old yellow lab mix that gets along great with other dogs. He loves to play and is super friendly. I am a non-smoker, but do not care if other people do. I drink, but due to grad school, really don’t have time to party. I am not looking for a party house. I enjoy the occasional potluck and dinner with friends and roommates. I am looking for a mature, easygoing household. If this interests you, please contact me for further information and a potential meet and greet. I cannot spend more $500/month (grad school wages…).

  • Hey there,

I am a grad student in applied anthropology looking for 1 roommate to share a spacious condo with.
The place isn’t furnished yet, but it will be by the time you move in (besides your room). It’s a lovely 3bdr/2 baths, with a spacious living room and a nice balcony that looks over the woods. I will keep the third room as a guest room. Washing machine and drier in the apartment. I don’t have pets– no dogs, cats possibly OK.

I am typically busy with school workload, but I definitely enjoy having occasional dinner parties at the house. I also love surfing, independent films, dance parties, and I am fairly often somewhere else for a short trip 🙂 I spend summer time in Italy where I am from, and the 3week winter break in Thailand.
It’d be awesome to share the space with another grad student, passionate about their work and life!

The place will be available from the end of August, but the move-in date is totally flexible. Your room is not furnished. It is located about 3-4 miles from OSU campus.

Feel free to ask any question, and please let me know something about you too! I will be back mid August to meet up and show the place.
    Cheers,
    Veronica

  • Hey everyone,

My housemates are looking to fill a vacancy in our 4 bed/2 bath house. Rent is $453/month. The bedroom is 12.5′ x 15′ with a walk in closest. There is a full basement with washer and dryer. Utilities per person range from $20 in the summer to $85 in the middle of winter. The house is older, but with a great open concept living area, hardwood floors, and build in bookcases.

You can also take a look at the craigslist ad to get an idea of the bedroom.

    https://corvallis.craigslist.org/roo/5694334363.html

We are Master’s students and a PhD/university employee at OSU so we are busy and the house is often quiet, but we do like having people over for group dinners and gatherings on occasion. Let me know if you are interested!

  • We (Sarah, Sarah, and I) are looking for a roommate to fill 1 bedroom in our 4 bedroom/ 2 bath house starting August 1st.

The house: Three bedrooms (one for the new roommate) are clustered together on one end of the house next to a regular sized bathroom, and on the other end of the house is a studio with a smaller bathroom. All roommates share our nice sized kitchen, carpeted living room, and tv/fake fireplace front room. We have a covered patio, huge garage for gear, and utility room with washer/dryer. We also have an amazing garden (food and flowers) that roommates contribute to and reap the delights from.

The roommates: Two of us are grad students at OSU (Integrative Biology and Forest Ecosystems and Society) and our third roommate (one of the Sarahs) is a nurse. We are a pretty quiet group most of the time, working a lot, doing our own things, but sometimes we cook, run, or go to country fairs together. We also occasionally throw large-ish parties (dance parties, onsey parties, outdoor movie nights).

Rent is 375 a month + about 40-80 a month for utilities (internet, power, gas). One year lease. No pets.

Please email us about coming to see the house and meeting the roommates if you’re interested in living with us.

  • Hey All,

My roommate is moving out July 15th and I’m looking for a replacement, as soon as possible. I’m in a 70s pet friend two bedroom 840 sq ft town house with a fenced in backyard, laundry on site, and off street parking.

I’m on the corner of 25th and Filmore, which two blocks from Fred Meyer (5 min walk) and about a 15 min walk to Cordelly (6 min bike ride). The house has furniture but the bedroom 144 square feet is unfurnished. As an added bonus the place does come with a smaller super sweet dog (May). The room rents for $400 a month if you have or want a pet, it’s an additional $15 a month.

Let me know if you or someone you know it interested.

    Thanks,

  • Hi all

I’m Nobu, I’m looking for a room to stay from beginning of September. The cheaper and closer to OSU is the better.

  • Hi I want to sublease my room in a three bed room house. It’s a nice house with front and backyard near south co-op. It’s only for summer (July 21-September 21), monthly rate is 500+utility (around 100). You won’t have any roommate during the stay since all of us will be gone for field work. So this will be very ideal for someone who try to finish up in the summer term. Time for move in and out is negotiable. Please text me if you need more information. Thanks. 541-979-64OO

  • Two bedrooms (with a shared bath) available mid-July in a great house (lease starting July 15-22). The house is near 14th and Circle (about a 10 minute bike ride to campus). It has a huge kitchen and backyard. There is a double garage that can fit lots of bikes and gear and has a washer and dryer. All common areas will be fully furnished, though there is room for more.

Each room is $575/mo plus utilities. There is also a $575 deposit. The property manager requires a $35 application fee (but you’d only apply with them once we decide to live together).

About me: I work full time at OSU. In my free time, I like reading, cooking, and being outside (camping, biking, exploring, etc.). I like my home to be clean/picked up and a clean kitchen is especially important. I’m looking for a cooperative, yet independent household. It would be great to have some roommate dinners!

I have a wonderful 8 year old weimaraner-poodle mix named Bella. She’s low shedding and really low key in the house (she likes to lounge on the couch). Outside of the house, she is an adventure dog and loves mountain biking, hiking, and exploring.

Pets: No cats. A very well behaved dog (preferably low shedding) will be considered if it gets along with my dog.

If you’re interested, email me with a bit of info about yourself and what you’re looking for in a home.

    Thanks,

If you are looking for a last minute place for July or August then you’re in luck! I have a single bedroom at the Union Apartments, a pretty new apartment complex just 2 blocks from campus! I am a graduate student in the Soil Science program at OSU and I am looking to move into a place for the coming year. Ideally, I would be able to move in on or about September 1st as that is when my current lease ends. Anything cheap, and nothing over $650 a month including utilities is my price range.

I can be reached at my email: kevinmhesson@gmail.com or my cell, 908-410-1761

  • Hey there,

My name is Cameron. I’m in incoming grad student in the English program. I’m looking for an affordable room ($400-500? I’m not very familiar with the housing market in Corvallis so I’m open to suggestions) anywhere in the area and I can move in whenever. Please contact me at 847-899-4046 or camshenassa@gmail.com if you have a place that might fit.

    A bit about me:
    I’m 25, from Chicago.

    I’m into biking and tennis.
    Morning person.

  • Hi all!
Both my roommate and I are graduate students in the English department at OSU. We’re looking for a place available in September (around the beginning of it but no later than September 10th) that has 2 bedrooms with rent and utilities at $1,100 or less.
If you or anyone you know is moving out around then, please let us know! You can contact me at sonr@oregonstate.edu.

    Thank you!

  • I’m looking for someone to take over my lease on my 2 bed 1 bath apartment starting July 1st. Our place is out in Albany, but the commute isn’t too bad and the apartment is gloriously huge (1000 sq feet) for the price ($790 + 55 for utilities). It’s pet friendly (dogs or cats) and in a quiet complex.

We love the apartment, but we’re expecting a baby in September and needed to find a place with W/D hookups.

Here’s the Craigslist post with details/pictures, but if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me!

  • Hello,

I am a third year Environmental Engineering grad student and we are looking for a third roommate. Our house is right by campus and we are asking for $420 per month for a room. We have a washer and dryer and the house is fully furnished. Please email me at crandonl@oregonstate.edu for details.
    Thanks!

  • Hey all,

Anyone looking for a last minute summer sublet? My one bedroom in a two bedroom apartment will be available for sublet in July and August. The rent is $511 mo. + utilities, but I’m reducing the price to $411 mo. + utilities because I want to find the right person to fill my spot. This is a one bedroom in a two bedroom apartment at Witham Hill. It’s a great spot, and I have really great roommate who will be traveling for a majority of the summer.

Checkout my craigslist post, and don’t hesitate to email/call/text for information.

  • Hi!

I’m reposting this because I’m still looking for a third housemate:

I’m looking for a third housemate starting in July. The place is just three blocks from campus. Rent is $500 for a large room. The house has two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and gas forced air heating. Contact me at 541-961-3148. Thanks!

  • Hi,

I am a 4th year PhD student in Biochemistry and Biophysics. My current roommate is just finishing his Masters and graduating next weekend so I am looking for a new roommate.

I live in a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath house with washer and dryer. There is a small third bedroom that we currently use as an office and for extra storage. There is a small, fenced backyard and a nice front yard with a carport with storage space. We’re in a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood about a 10 minute bike ride from campus.

About me: I spend most of my time working (as is true for most grad students) but go to Portland for concerts every once in a while and, especially in the summer, like to go hiking on the weekends. I have a Brittany spaniel mix named Rudy who is well cared for. He loves people and is very relaxed and sweet and spends most of his time sleeping on the couch.
So basically my only requirement for a new roommate is they must love dogs 🙂

My current roommate is moving out at the end of June so it would be ideal to have someone start renting in July with a new lease starting in August. Rent is $697.50 with ~$100/month in utilities.

Let me know if you’re interested or would like more information!

  • Hi! Incoming CS graduate student looking for a place to live.

    About me:
    • Substance-free, laid-back
    • Love to exercise, game, try new things, Salsa dance (you can bet I’ll try to drag you to the dance group on campus!)
    • No pets
    • Very clean
    • I’ve almost maxed my Runescape account, and I’ve never botted
    • Arriving in September (willing to start paying in July/August, but prefer not to)

Looking for a clean house close to campus (preferably near KEC).

    Contact me at 563-209-6534!

    • Clarification: by “no pets”, I simply mean that I don’t have any. I’d be fine living with a well-behaved one!

      • Hi Alex,

I just sent you a text, but I’ll post here as well. My friend and I are looking for a third housemate to fill a large room in a house only a few blocks from campus (see my ad above). Are you interested?

        Thanks,
        Xander

  • Hi folks,

My housemates and I have an opening in the historic Taylor House in downtown Corvallis starting July 1. This is a four bedroom, one bathroom gothic farmhouse built with huge rooms and lots of natural light. We are an eco-friendly home with a large garden looking for a rad grad student or post-doc who shares our values (or at least is good at pretending like they do).

Please see our little CL ad for more details: https://corvallis.craigslist.org/roo/5616845855.html

Our house is about a mile from campus and rent is $400/month plus utilities. We have a raspberry patch and a wood-burning stove for cozy times in the winter. The room coming open is large (approximately 170 sq.ft.) with two large windows.

Last year we had some incoming grads start paying rent July 1 but didn’t move in until August/Sept. We are open to that arrangement again if you are looking for peace of mind prior to starting school.

If you are interested, please send an email to isaacsandlin@gmail.com telling us about yourself and we can set up an interview.

    Cheers,

    Isaac

  • Hi!

My name is Andy Wilson – I’m an incoming Master’s student in Geography and am on the hunt for a home when I move to Corvallis this fall.

A little about me: I grew up in NC and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2014. I followed up graduation by biking across the country with an organization called Bike & Build and have been exploring the mountains of WA for the past couple of years. Some of my loves include backpacking/mountaineering, sweet potatoes,
crossword puzzles, bluegrass/folksy tunes, and the occasional cooking experiments.

I’m hoping to keep rent to around $600/month. Storage space would be beneficial too as I am slowly accumulating climbing/backpacking things. I’m looking to move in late August or early September. I’m not too picky when it comes to roommates, but it would be sweet to have roommates with some overlapping interests. Dogs are also a big plus!

Feel free to email (andycwilson88@gmail.com) or text me (704-906-5965) if you or someone you know will have a room becoming available around September 1st and think I would be a solid fit!

    -Andy

    • Hey Andy,

Are you still looking for a place? We have a three bedroom, one bath house near campus. There are currently two of us, both Mechanical Engineering Grads. Rent is $550 a month and includes all utilities. Let us know if you’re interested, and we can set up a time for you to come check out the place!

      Thanks,
      Annalise and Mick

  • I am subletting my apartment from June 13 to Sep 13. It is a one bedroom apartment that you would have all for yourself! The place is fully furnished and ideal if you are just coming for the summer. It has a walking closet, a large bedroom, and a living room + kitchen fully loaded! Additionally, the place has a pool that just opened. Finally, the place is located on 5th street north of downtown. You can walk to downtown, bike or take the bus (bus stop is right in front of the apartment) to OSU, walking is also possible though it would take you some time. Rent is only $700 with water included! (some places will only give you a room for that!) If interested please text me at (541) 652-8122 or leanor’AT’oregonstate.edu

The apartment is 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms at Witham Hill Oaks,so you’ll have your own bathroom, monthly rent is $500 plus about $50 utility (electricity and internet), washer and dryer in the apartment. Bus route 1 stops right by the entrance of the apartment complex. My current roommate is also a phd student at OSU, very easygoing. I am willing to negotiate on the rent price too if you are interested, please contact me at lixiaoy@oregonstate.edu. Thank you!

  • Hey Everyone!
My roomie and I are looking to find a 3rd roommate for our awesome house on 11th street. It’s super close to campus, has a ton of space and storage. The room has a small walk-in closet and a storage room attached. The house was remodeled and has a really nice kitchen, a sweet fireplace, hardwood floors, and a new washer/dryer. There’s a massive basement for all sorts of activities; we use it for storing stuff, we have a projector and some couches set up, I have a small wood shop, and it makes a great dance floor. Check out my craig’s list posting for some pics of the room and contact me if you want more info or to come check it out.

  • Hi!

I’m an incoming MFA student and I’m looking for a house/apartment for Sept. 1, 2016, or around then.
I would ideally like a one bedroom duplex or house with hard wood floors, yard and/or porch, and laundry on site. Willing to pay up to $1,000 a month for the right space. I’m also open to a roommate, provided it’s the right fit. I also have two lovable cats. I have a car, but would love to be able to walk/bike to OSU. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Email me at tgrieshober@gmail.com.

  • Hello!

I am looking for someone to take my room in a 2br apartment for the summer while I am at an internship. It is in a great house a couple blocks from campus and Fred Meyer. My roommate is a PhD student in Geology who would like to live with a socialable housemate, who likes to team-up for weekend trips to the Cascades, and appreciates a clean kitchen. The room is available from June to September with some flexibility in dates. The room can be fully furnished or empty.

  • Hello all,

I am looking for a second roommate in my three-bedroom apartment in Witham Hill Oaks. Check it out here: https://www.withamhilloaks.com. It is the three bedroom garden style. The third bedroom is for storage since its kind of small. It is dog friendly. I have a 45lb heeler/pointer mix that would love a buddy. Sorry, I am allergic to cats. It is quiet and wooded here, with trails right behind and a dog park across the street. I bike to campus in 10min and home in 15min (It is on top of a big hill).
I am a second year grad student in Microbiology. I keep a tidy house and love to cook. In my free time I mountain bike, rock climb, disc golf, surf, and play board games. I am looking for a clean and respectful roommate to move in in June. Must be queer friendly. I could be a little flexible on move in time for the right person. Feel free to respond here or call/text (360)528-0230.

    • Hi,

My name is Siddharth Satishchandran and a recently accepted Master student in the History of Science Program at OSU. The housing that you have provided sounds great. Since I haven’t been to Oregon before, my family and I are possibly going to visit in mid-July or early August. I was wondering, If I do accept would it be alright to move in mid to late August? Or would you want an earlier move in date?

  • Hi everyone,
I am an anthropology grad student looking for a roommate at least from June 1 – October 1. I currently live alone in a 2 bedroom/1 bath house and since I will be away working for at least half of the summer, I would like to find someone to rent out the extra bedroom. The rent is $450 per month plus utilities (internet, electricity, water, and gas – generally not much in the summer). My hope is to find someone who likes to garden and who is environmentally and socially conscious. If it seems we are compatible after the summer, I am open to continuing being roommates. The house is small so we would need to be a good fit if a long term situation is to happen. House is located 3 blocks north of campus in a really quiet and friendly neighborhood. I already have a dog so adding another animal might be problematic, but I am open to at least considering another small dog. Lastly, my landlady, who is an amazing woman, would need to clear you before moving in. Although I have no gender preference for a roommate, I think she would prefer if I rented the room out to another female. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see the room. Thanks!

  • I’m a recently accepted physics PhD student and I am looking for jousing for my husbamd and myself.

    We’d like:

At least cat or small mammal friendly
    Biking distance from campus

If anyone knows of any good places, please send them my way.

  • Hello everyone!

I am currently a second year MS student in Civil Engineering, Geomatics and am looking for a place to live starting preferably in July through December while I finish up my degree. If you have an opening in your house/apartment during that time period, let me know!

  • Hi all,

I’m looking for a room or roommates starting in September or October. I’ve spent my first year in a 1 bedroom after moving from Bellingham, WA. Aside from saving a little money, my studies as a Toxicology PhD student are going to turn my extroverted personality around if I don’t find some chill roommates.

During the week I play music (currently guitar and ukulele), go to the gym, do a little climbing, and enjoy happy hour occasionally. On the weekends I try to get out of town for hiking, AirBnB-ing, seeing live music, or visiting friends in Portland and Seattle. I’m a backpacking novice but gain more experience by the month (looking forward to a 4 day excursion through the Enchantments in Washington).

I keep a tidy apartment, have no pets, and don’t smoke. Meeting for a beer beforehand would be ideal but I moved over 300 miles to get here last fall so I know how it goes. This fall will be the start of my second year in Corvallis, so I have a sense of the (challenging) housing market at this point.

Shoot me a message if you’re interested:

  • Hello Landlords/renters!

My partner and I are looking to rent out a small house/apt for July 1st or August 1st near campus. I’m a graduate student in Marine Resource Management, and Lauren is a Montessori teacher.

We are tiday, respectful, and looking for something affordable that allows us to garden.

    Thank you!

  • Hi All,

I’m looking for someone to takeover my current room starting July 1st. Rent = $410 + utilities. 1 year lease. Note there is another smaller room open as well (less rent – also nice size).

The room: upstairs, spacious, lots of great light with 3 windows, HUGE closet ( awesome if you own a lot of gear), vanity sink with cupboards and drawers in the room, and ceiling fan/ light.Wood floors. Room is big enough to fit a queen bed and still have plenty of space.

The house: two story house located on Grant Ave, just a few blocks west of the North Coop. Great location – quick ride to campus, Fred Meyer, Coffee Culture, Suds and quiet neighborhood. 3 other people live in the house: two graduate students and one young professional. Two dogs live there too: one young pup and one older dog- so the house is pet friendly. Large backyard with lots of gardening opportunities. In total it’s a 5 occupancy house.

If you are interested please don’t hesitate to touch base. I can provide photos or arrange a house visit if you would like to pop by and check the place out! Same goes if you are interested in the smaller room.

    Cheers,

    Chris Benemann

    • Hi Chris,
I’m just finishing up the first year of my grad studies. All my current roommates are moving, so that means I am too. The info in your ad seems to be what I’m interested in. Please let me know if either room is still available. If so, I would appreciate some photos. You can contact me directly at fosteemi@oregonstate.edu

  • Hey,

My name is Marissa and I will be a grad student at OSU starting Fall 2016. I’m looking for a private room, ~600$/month, starting in August or September.

A little bit about me, I’m 22, I did my undergrad at Cal Poly SLO, and I currently live in the Bay Area and work as a geotechnical engineer. Basically, I get play with rocks and dirt all day and I’ll be continuing that in grad school. I like to hike, play softball, kickball, rollerblade, and basically anything outdoors. I’m super excited to move to Corvallis and I’m looking to live with other grad students, preferably within walking distance to campus. If you think it sounds like we’ll get along, shoot me an email or give me a call.

  • Hi grad employees,

I’m leaving the lovely home I started with here is Corvallis, OR in September. Elizabeth is a single mom living with her 15 year old daughter in N Corvallis. The house is very spacious and includes great amenities (see craigslist ad). Elizabeth and Stella are looking for an independent, tidy, adult who can live with them as they go through their busy lives. I have lived with them for almost 2 years, and I am only leaving because I want to move in with my partner. Check out the ad and shoot me a line if you have questions or want to set up an appointment to see the house. You can also reply to Elizabeth through the ad.

  • Hey all:

I’m an incoming MFA student in fiction, looking for a 1BR apartment in Corvallis. I’d like to move in between August 1 and September 1. Only real requirement is something within easy biking distance of campus. Would ideally pay less than $700 but that’s flexible.

Let me know if you have a spot that’s good for one person and are moving out or looking for someone to take over the lease.

    My email is: bcsandman@gmail.com

    Thanks,
    Ben

    • I should amend this to say: I’d also be interested in looking for a place with roommates, or taking a spot in a larger house/apartment if one opens up.

  • I am a first year female Fisheries and Wildlife MS student looking for two students to become my room mates!! I live in a townhome in the Willamette Landing area. The home is 3 bedrooms/2.5 bathrooms and the two rooms i am looking to rent out are identical in size, running around 11×11. There is lots of storage space and room in the garage. Most of the home is furnished, could use another couch and coffee table. There is also a pool and workout room walking distance from the homes and a park across the street. Washer and dryer are also in the unit. No pets please.

I love to cook and have always enjoyed cooking with roommates. Like to go outdoors, hike, walk, go to the beach. If you have any other questions please let me know and you can contact me at my email. There

  • Hey! I have a PhD student visiting my lab from Canada this spring/summer for 90 days. Her dates are flexible and can stay for any window of 90 days between May and Mid-September. I would like to find her a place with other graduate students, if possible. I’ve worked with her for a few years and she is a very nice person.

Thanks — send an email to breilly85 [AT] gmail if you know of something!

  • Hi guys!
I’m a French grad student and I’m going back home for the summer; my housemate, a Vet grad student, will also be out of town between the end of June/mid-September. We are subletting our two rooms in a lovely house, fully furnished, high-speed Internet, dishwasher, wash machine, dryer, a 15 min bike ride from campus, in a quiet area. Rent is 400$ a month for each room – utilities not included. We have a small backyard and a barbecue, and the people who would rent the rooms will also be able to use our bikes – as long as they take care of them and go to the bike shop at the end of the summer to make sure everything is ok. A 15-minute bike ride from the campus! Let me know you’re interested and I could also send you pictures of our place!

  • Hello everyone,

I will be a second year MS student in Statistics next fall and I am looking for roommates/housing starting ideally in late May or early June and close to the north edge of campus, hopefully for less than $700 per month with utilities.

I enjoy reading, cooking, sports, video games, having a few drinks and hanging out, etc. but I am pretty open to housing situations. Give me a call or text if you are looking to find a house or fill a vacancy along these lines.

    Chris
    774-245-2918

  • Howdy potential housemates and cohort,

Is anyone looking to move, or wanting a roommate?

When: I’m going to start a MS in Fall, and would like to be settled by the end of April/ beginning of May, or sooner.

My preferences for a house are:

close to campus, fenced yard, washer/dryer, garage, and dog friendly. I don’t have a dog now, but I am considering the idea for sometime in the future.

I also wouldn’t mind hardwood floors, and a mellow neighborhood.

    Price Range: $400-600 w/ utilities.

I like to surf, rock climb, make things, cook, hike, etc. I’m pretty laid back, and appreciate clean common areas. If this sounds like a good fit let’s collaborate on finding a house.

    Cheers,
    Dave DuBose

    • Hey Dave, I’m also starting an MS (forestry) in the fall and am looking for housing and roommates. I’ll be moving in September, so I’m just starting to put out feelers for vacancies. My number is 3605181366 if you want to collaborate.

  • Hi Everyone,
I just got an admission offer for the PhD program in public policy. I’ve never been to Corvallis before but from the internet search I can see it a college town with a few and a little bit expensive housing. So can anyone tell me more about living in the city and also is it a good idea to look for rent in Albany or Lebanon?
    Thanks

    • Mohamed,

If you live within the city of Corvallis, you will likely always have the option to bike or ride the bus to school. Any houses along Walnut street will be about 15-20 minute bike ride to campus (as a reference).

If you do not mind driving, living in Albany or Lebanon are both good options. But let me push you towards Albany over Lebanon. Albany is a town of roughly equal size as Corvallis and is generally just a safe (less crime) as Corvallis. Lebanon allows for more open space but you may not find your neighbors to be as welcoming. Lebanon and Sweet Home are known to have a large meth problem.

  • Hey everyone!

My roommate Erik and I are looking for a third roommate for our 3BR/2BA house up by Witham Hill on Jameson.

The house is spacious and beautiful with a big kitchen and living room, hardwood floors, laundry in the garage, plenty of parking, and a backyard with a deck, fire pit area, and garden space. The bedrooms are carpeted with good size closets and you would share a bathroom with one other person.

Erik and I are both super laid back and friendly. As grad students we’re usually busy and focused on school so the house is generally pretty quiet and relaxed, but we’re happy to have people over occasionally too.

Rent is $475 plus split utilities and a $200 security deposit and we are looking for someone from now (flexibly) until the end of June.

    Call/text 818-370-2030 🙂

Bus line 1 stops right at the entrance of the apartment complex and it’s just a 5 minute ride to campus.I have two indoor cats, very well behaved, but any additional pets would not be a good idea.

  • I am looking for a girl roommate. My apartment is a two bedroom with separate baths which is located on 35th and western street. Retreat apartments are pretty new ones and started working on September 2015. The apartment is furnished as well.

  • Hi OSU grads,

I’m a second year, male grad student in IB/Zoo at OSU. I’ve been living in a large apartment downtown for about a year and am looking for a housemate to share the place for $400 a month total.

Large unfurnished room available starting in early January (I’m also flexible on dates), in a historic home near downtown Corvallis. The room is carpeted and has two large windows. The room does not include a closet, but this can be easily solved with a chest of drawers or a portable clothing rack.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable, includes internet, has a washer and drier in the building, and a dishwasher. The kitchen and bathroom are both large. Gas stove and plenty of cupboard space. There is a lot of space for anything you might already own, but if not, I’ve got it covered probably. Street parking. About a 10 minute bike ride to OSU or a 30 minute walk. Very close to downtown. No pets.

Contact me by email if interested and we can set up a time for you to check out the room.

A little about me. I’m a 26 yr old male graduate student in the sciences. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with friends. I occasionally cook, enjoy relaxing and traveling, and listening to music. I like playing card and board games and visiting over a beer.

    Thanks,
    Antonio

  • Hey everyone.

I am looking to sublet the remainder of my year long lease at the Gem Apartments. The apartment is located on the outside bottom floor, and is quiet. Renting from the Gem requires you are a student at Oregon State University or LBCC. The rent is $920/month, but it includes:

    -Cable
    -Internet
    -Electricity
    -Water
    -Garbage
    -On site laundry
    -On site gym

This apartment is roughly 300 square feet, but feels spacious as it has 20 foot high ceilings.

Benefit of taking over my lease is that you will have the opportunity to claim the ($350) deposit in June, however, we will need a written agreement signed by both parties stating that you are solely responsible for any damages that occur from January on.

You will also have the opportunity to take over my parking spot, which are in short supply.

This apartment is literally a 30 second walk from campus. You have food, bars, and coffee shops less than a 1 minute walk away.

If my employment hadn’t changed, I would be continuing my lease, but circumstances have forced my hand here.

I am flexible on move out date as well. As soon as the term ends I can be gone, and we can discuss a pro-rate for the Month of December, or, if you prefer to take over in January that would be fine as well.

Contact me for more information. durbinm@oregonstate.edu

  • Heyo! I am a 29 year old Forestry grad student with a sweetheart of a dog. We are looking for an awesome housemate to share a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house in Philomath. It is a nice place in a quiet setting, about 5 miles from campus (not far from the bike path). Rent for a private room and hallway bathroom (which will pretty much be all yours except when we have people over) is $375/month + half of the utilities, pets ok if everybody jives. • I’m looking to rent a room in a large (5 bedroom 3 full bath), well-kept, shared house. Currently, have 4 other grad students (3 PhDs and 1 MS) and 1 dog, and we would all prefer another graduate student renter. House is located on 2 acres in a very quiet rural neighborhood west of Bald Hill. It’s just under 5 miles to campus and a great bike ride. The house is not on a bus line so having a car and/or bike would be necessary. Several of us carpool to school everyday, so that is another option. The room is 12X12′ with a 2X4′ closet and you would share a bathroom with 1 other male. I could potentially provide the room as furnished/semi-furnished. Rent is $475/mo with a flat $100/mo fee for ALL bills (e.g. cable, power, internet, W/D, garbage) and includes monthly cleaning of the bathrooms and kitchen. Lease is month-to-month. Available Dec 13th! If you are interested please contact me at: peter.kappes’AT’oregonstate.edu.

  • Hi there,
I’m a recent OSU graduate (MFA Creative Nonfiction) looking to move back to Oregon. I’m transgender leaning femme, so if that weirds you out, you can stop reading now. I was living with family in California for a few months and that didn’t go as well as planned, so now I’m staying with friends in Tennessee. Sadly, the Tennessee healthcare system sucks, and there are some anti-trans laws that will keep me from transitioning if I stay here, so I need to return to Oregon stat.

Looking to rent with someone responsible, respectful, ideally female-identified, and social. I don’t drink alcohol or smoke anything, though I do like my tea. I’m working on a book of poems now, so I’d prefer someone quiet, but I’m also a musician without an instrument (drums) so that’s negotiable. I’d like to stay under $400/month for rent and utilities, but that’s negotiable too. I have enough money saved up to live for a season or two, and am actively looking for work.

Email zelda dot hitzel at gmail dot com if you have anything that could suit my needs. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Looking for a clean, responsible roommate for a three bedroom, 1.5 bath house approximately 12 blocks north of campus near the north side co-op. Ranch style house with hardwood floors, fire place, gas heat and big backyard with garden space. No pet allergies as there are 2 indoor cats and no additional pets accepted. I work at the FSL and the other guy in the house works at the EPA. Rent is $550 a month with a $500 deposit. Available December 1st. Please call or text 503-569-2200.

  • I am a chemistry 1st year graduate female student at OSU who is in need of an apartment before December 12th because my sublease ends at that time. I would like to move before finals week because I have so much going on that week as it is. I am fairly busy Monday to Friday, usually working from 8am to about 7-8pm. I am pretty much just looking for a place to live where I can sleep and eat. I am great with cats, but please no dogs. I do have a fiance who is stationed in Washington and he is in the Navy so he comes down once or twice a month to see me. Most of the time I visit him.

I would ideally like the rent that includes utilities to be under $600 with a roommate or two because I am on a graduate student budget. I would prefer female only roommates, no male roommates. I am tolerant of any religious, sexual orientation, race, and gender identification. Please contact at 904 345 9428

  • We will have a opening in our 3br 1ba house starting from January 1st (may move in stuffs before Christmas). It’s a ranch style house with wood floor. • I am moving rather suddenly and am looking for someone interested in taking over my lease. The apartment is 2 bedroom 2 bath at the Mountainview at Rivergreen apartments in South town. The rent is $885 a month w/s/g paid you pay electricity (comes out to about $50 a month). We leave next Wednesday so let me know sooner rather than later. • Hi everyone,

My roommates and I are looking for another roommate to move in during the beginning/middle of December. We’d prefer a graduate student or working professional who is respectful of shared spaces and pulls their own weight around the house. We would be willing to rent to a couple as well. No cats or dogs please.

A little about the house and us:

We live in a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home in Tangent, just 10 minutes from downtown Corvallis by HWY 34 and 15 minutes via Peoria Rd. There is also a large yard and we have chickens (fresh organic eggs!), a cat and a small dog. I occupy one of the rooms and recently graduated with my Master’s at OSU and am currently in the midst of applying for local jobs, my other roommate’s parents are the homeowners and she occupies the master bedroom with her boyfriend.

If interested, shoot me an email with some details about yourself.

    -Becca

  • Move in date is flexible, and the lease is through June. Rent is 525 plus electric, gas, and wifi.

We are three mid twenties chicks looking for a friendly person to fill the downstairs room in our house. We are all students, and we all work. We are generally really busy during the week, but we like to have the occasional mid-week pint and explore a bit on the weekends. We are hoping to find a housemate we enjoy sharing a space with– our living room has two comfy couches and a fireplace for some cozy studying 🙂 We all get along really well, and hope to find someone who’s a good fit!

It’s a big house with a huge backyard (and fire pit!). There are currently 2 adorable pups living here – a lab and a shepherd mix (both medium sized and real friendly/not destructive). The downstairs room is adjacent the kitchen, you have your own half bath/half shower downstairs, or you’re welcome to use the one upstairs. Whatever you prefer. The room has big beautiful bay windows (southeast facing) and gets lots of light. There are built in shelves also, but no closet space (the closet directly outside the room can be your personal closet).

The kitchen has plenty of space and is pretty stocked with appliances. There’s a dishwasher, as well as a washer/dryer in the basement (which is HUGE by the way. if you do woodworking, this could be your dream shop!). There’s a garage for storage, and a driveway for parking (also street parking).

About us: We’re all openminded individuals, eat mostly vegetarian (but don’t mind meat eaters at all), like hiking/outdoors endeavors, and drinking good coffee and good beer. We’re open to men or women roommates.

All in all, big house, tons of storage, friendly roommates, dogs. come live with us.

  • [Roommate Wanted]Clean, responsible roommate (prefer female) wanted for three bedroom, 1 bath house close to north of campus (Near 34th and Grant). Ranch style house with hardwood floors, fire place, gas heat and big backyard with garden space. No pets.

I recently found a new job and must move out. The other two roommates are both graduate students at OSU. They are very responsible and friendly.

Rent is $500 a month (not including water and utilities). Water and utilities will be divided between the three roommates. First and last month rent must be paid upfront. Available 11/16 (time negotiable). The current lease is until June 30, 2016 (renewable). Please call or text 541-602-0178.

  • Clean, responsible roommate wanted for three bedroom, 1.5 bath house approximately 12 blocks north of campus near the north side co-op. Ranch style house with hardwood floors, fire place, gas heat and big backyard with garden space. No pet allergies as there are 2 indoor cats and no additional pets accepted. Rent is $550 a month with a $500 deposit. Available December 1st. Please call or text 503-569-2200.

  • Hi there,
I posted before about looking for housemates, but we have now filled the rooms. However, we do have a subletting option available from now until January 1st in the attached studio part of our home. It is fully furnished, and there is ample storage in the garage if needed. Cost is $500/month and includes water. Electricity, heat and internet are split among the house. Contact randi at randicshaw@gmail.com if interested.

  • Hi guys,

My current housing situation is wacky- my landlord is NUTS and refuses to move her stuff out of the unit I rented. Needless to say- I want OUT ASAP.

About me: I’m a 28yr old female PhD student in Zoology studying marine ecology. I love chickens, gardening, cooking, and surfing. I have a sweet 1.5 yr old mutt who loves cats, people, and other dogs. I’m looking for a place that is quiet, clean, and friendly… Although I’m not opposed to the occasional party. Price is ideally below $650/mo.

If you need a room filled, or if you are looking for a roommate to rent a house with contact me. There are some good ones on CL right now.

  • Anyone still looking for a place to live?

I have one room with a private bath available. The lease is from Sept 15 to June 30 of next year. Each room has its own heat control, the heat is provided by hot water pipes embedded in the polished concrete slab. The radiant in floor heat is perfectly even and silent. The cost is $316 for the partial month of Sept, $464 for Oct-Jan, and $360 for Feb-May. These numbers include forward payments of last month’s rent and security deposit spread out over the first 5 months. Utility (electric and water) will be split evenly with 4 other people. The room is around 115ish square feet. There is outside parking and a garage. You will be sharing the kitchen, living room, and washer/dryer with 4 other MS/PhD students in the school of Public Policy. The place is brand new and the finishing touches on construction is taking place right now. The bedroom is unfurnished. The address is 132 SW Avery Ave, Corvallis, OR which is less than a mile from campus. Call Edward at 503-961-3652 or email at louieed@onid.oregonstate.edu

  • Two fully furnished private rooms with separate outdoor entrance in beautiful Corvallis home with large organic garden on half acre. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood within one minute to bus stop or 10 minute bike ride to OSU campus; close to Sam’s Station and First Alternative North Co-Op. Shared large gourmet kitchen, laundry room, living room. Full bathroom shared with one other student. Must be responsible and clean. No smoking anywhere on premises.

2 adorable Westie dogs, one mellow old cat and 9 egg laying chickens live here too. Chickens outside, of course

  • One FES graduate student (me) and one full time nurse are looking for a great housemate. We are planning to move into a 3 or 4 bedroom house and need someone to fill the last room(s). If you are looking for a low-key, do your part to keep things nice, garden and chicken-filled living situation, with the occasional potluck, get in touch. We are moving no later than October 1st, but can possibly help out if you need somewhere to stay before then.
A side option: if you are more interested in having a studio apartment, but like the idea of being connected to a larger house of people you know, get in touch ASAP. We might have the perfect thing…

  • Hi, I’m looking to rent a room in my 5 bedroom, 3 full bath house. Rent is $575/mo all inclusive (i.e. water, sewer, cable, garbage, power, wifi, phone, W/D, and monthly maid service for kitchen/bathrooms) and a $300 partially refundable security deposit, month-to-month lease with 30 days notice. House is shared with 4 Fisheries and Wildlife grad students and 1 dog. Room can be rented fully furnished/or not (bed, desk, dresser, linens, etc). Rest of the house is fully furnished (home theater, wet bar, wood stove, two refrigerators and mini refrigerator, all kitchen supplies, etc). House is located < 5 miles west of campus on 2 acres in very quiet rural neighborhood. We commute to campus everyday, so if the bike ride isn’t your thing carpooling is a real option. The house is not near a bus line so biking and/or having a car will be required. peter.kappes@oregonstate.edu

  • Rent: $725 for a room for two.

We have a beautiful house, four blocks north of campus, with a sweet master bedroom including; a full bathroom, walk in closet, sky-lights, roof top access, and den area. This is a great space for a couple that is new to town but wants to meet people in Corvallis or a single person who appreciates their own space.

There are two other bedrooms in the main house occupied by, Andrew (working on MS in Environmental Science), and Shannon (working on PhD in Soil Science). We share the full bathroom on the main floor.

There are also two studios semi-attached to the house. Ashley (Professional Organizer for CGE) lives in the one with a closet and bathroom. The other we have not been renting because we have used the space as a yoga studio, for foosball games, louder-than-average party location, and mostly for all the lovely, amazing people that come through our lives and want to stay at a home. We would like to be able to keep this space open for this purpose but have considered renting it if we cannot find two people to live upstairs so that we can continue to distribute the utilities between five people.

The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all fully equipped and have hardwood floors. You will love the kitchen, it tends to be a central gathering location, it is big and open and has a gas stove and a dishwasher and a washer and drier. The dining room has a wall of windows facing the backyard and a gas fireplace.

We are social, responsible, adults who like to have friends over, and celebrate occasions, and build things together, and go out to float the river, and hike and garden and play disc golf. . . We aim to lead ecologically and socially cognitive lives and appreciate others who strive for the same. We also have a couple of nice raised beds and some rabbits for our backyard homestead.

The room will be available anytime between Sept 15th to Sept 30th. The studio space gives a bit of flex around the move in date, so just let us know what you need.

The total rent for the house is $2275. If two people live upstairs the combined rent would be $725. Utilities are split evenly between each individual and include communal purchases like toilet paper, oil, rice, sugar and other staples that we will agree on as a house. We normally pay $55/person/month in utilities for 9 months of the year and up to $100/person/month in the winter.

We are available to show the house by appointment. Feel free to call, email, or text Shannon at show contact info

  • Hello,

I am looking to fill the second room in a 2 bedroom home about 8 miles north of town. The room is quite large and has separate entry to outside. It also has a door to the garage.

About myself… I am outgoing and friendly. I enjoy conversation with intelligent, open-minded people. I have 2 dogs; a basenji and a pug/beagle mix. I love beer and cider. I am looking for a roommate who is easy going and doesn’t hide away in their room ALL the time. I am open to sharing food and enjoy cooking for people so if you hate to cook or are interested in sharing food, I’m open to discuss that.

I am very sensitive to chemicals and volatile scented things so if you love a lot of perfume or cologne, I ask that you don’t reply. Thanks so much.

    All the best fellow grads.

  • Hi, all! I’m a 26-year-old recent OSU grad (Masters in English lit) who is looking to fill the 2nd bedroom in my 2-bedroom Oak Vale apartment starting September 1st. I have loved living in Oak Vale – it backs up to a nice wooded area with some lovely hiking trails, has a community garden, and is secluded and quiet, but still close to everything. The complex is about a 10-minute bike ride away from campus, and it also has a bus line that goes right by it. Rent is $390 plus about $60 utilities (month-to-month).

I have a small cat, so hopefully you like cats. I like coffee, hiking, travel, good beer, fantasy novels, and Doctor Who. I do my best to be a thoughtful and considerate roommate.

Please email me if this sounds like a good fit! I can be reached at kaely.horton@gmail.com.

  • I have a 1BD/1BTH in Grand Oaks Apartments. Here is the link to the craigslist ad with some pictures:https://corvallis.craigslist.org/apa/5179488389.html This place is perfect for a grad student or couple. Its away from the hustle and bustle of campus, but the bus line right outside the complex goes to campus. Bald Hill is just a short walk away. There is also a fantastic club house, pool, spa and gym.

If you take over my lease you can have the rates that I locked in awhile ago. $980 base rent + $25 pet rent (if you have one) + 30 for water/sewer/garbage with a $200 deposit. You can have up to 2 pets, no breed or weight restrictions! You also get a carport. I have a top floor corner unit that has spectacular views..you can even see the fireworks on the Fourth of July! Its a really awesome place and I’m sad to be leaving it.

Give me a text/call or email at 9254461309 or nataliehambalek@gmail.com

    • We’re having an Open House on Saturday, Aug. 22 1-3 pm to show the house to anyone potentially interested in renting the house.

  • We have a guest house on our property that we would like to rent out to the right person. The space is quite large with a full bathroom, open living room and kitchen space, one bedroom (no closet), and an office. We live on the edge of Corvallis, right by HP, on an acre and a half that is adjacent to a 17 acre hazelnut farm. This is our family home, so while the living space is private there is a shared yard and driveway. No cigarette smoking is allowed on the property. We have raised garden beds and fruit trees, as well as chickens, dogs, and cats who use the yard. This living situation would be perfect for someone who enjoys living rurally, has a car or is an avid cyclist, loves animals, is relatively quiet (especially in the evening), and feels comfortable negotiating a shared living environment. Because this is a unique situation and fit is the most important criteria, we are keeping the cost affordable for someone on a graduate student stipend. If you feel like this might be a good fit for you, please call Tasha at 541-829-1890 to get more information.

  • I see that there are people looking for a room in Corvallis. I am new and looking also. I found this place on SW Avery Ave and S 3rd St. with 5 bedrooms and 2 baths for 1800, even with 4 people I bet it will be under 500 including utility per person. I’ve contacted the landlord, Hugh White, for pictures and a drawing of the layout. I found the place by searching for “radiant” on the Corvallis apartment Craigslist, as an energy policy person, if I can, I prefer to live by what I preach, energy efficient. In floor hot water radiant floor is super energy efficient and comfortable.
    https://corvallis.craigslist.org/apa/5122781081.html

If it pans out, I’ll be looking for 2-4 housemates or someone who wants multiple rooms. I’m pretty open minded, men, women, families, I don’t mind. I’ve been comfortable in a variety of living situations.

I’ll post pictures of the place as soon as I get them.

    Best Edward Louie

My Cell is 503-961-3652. Feel free to call me.

FYI, I have a knack for cost efficient grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning. During my masters my roommates put up with me buying all groceries and cooking dinner, it was really cost efficient and we all ate well. I didn’t mind cleaning knowing that I can wash the dishes cleaner with less hot water than the others.

    • Hi All,

I just spoke to the landlord Hugh White. He corrected me, the apartment is 5 beds and 5 baths! Prices are increasing due to demand but the $1800 for up to and ideally 5 people still stands for me. I really want to get a group together and close this deal. Give me a call at 503-961-3652 asap. This is a really good deal.

Hydronic radiant floor on a high thermal mass polished concrete slab is super comfortable.

      -Edward

      • Made another phone call to the landlord.

He is going to contact MSS Engineering and Design firm for a digitized copy of the building plans and Eric Larson the builder at the job site for pictures of the rough in construction.

In the future Corvallis Development Services will have pictures of the place and the floor plan available on their website but they don’t digitize and upload info about a site until a project is completed.
        https://www.corvallisoregon.gov/index.aspx?page=110

Info about Hugh. He does a lot of development and redevelopment across Corvallis. Wife is the director of student teaching at OSU and Hugh is a retired navy captain. This webpage has a picture of Hugh and some of his commercial redevelopment projects.
        https://www.corvallisadvocate.com/…/landlords-champion…/

I hope this additional info helps nudge someone on the fence about this place to get on board. Still looking for 2 more people.

        Best
        -Edward

  • Hello!

I’m an incoming international Electrical Engineering PhD student (26, Male) joining OSU this Fall. I’m excited to be moving to the Pacific NW after having lived in Florida for close to 4 years. Originally from Mumbai, India, I’m arriving in Corvallis on 11th September.

I’m exploring housing options and would love to live with some like minded grad students who may or may not be in engineering majors. A little bit about myself:

    – I’m a quiet, tidy and friendly individual who loves a good discussion on almost any topic.

    – I’m quite active: I love working out, playing basketball and soccer. I’ve done a little bit of rock climbing in the past and hope to continue it. I’m looking forward to exploring the great outdoors in and around Corvallis/Oregon when I’m not busy with work and classes.

    – I also enjoy playing board-games, reading books, comics and graphic novels, watching sports and cooking. I also play the drums.

    – I don’t smoke but I’ll have the occasional drink or two.

If anyone would like to have me as a roommate, I can be reached at shaan.sengupta@gmail.com.

    Cheers!
    Shaan

  • Hi all,

I need to find someone to move into one bedroom of a two bedroom townhouse I am currently living in. I had someone lined up to take over the room but he backed out at the last minute.

The place is very nice and well kept. No dogs or cats and I am the only other tenant. Photos, and a better description about the townhouse and available room can be found at the following link.

    https://corvallis.craigslist.org/roo/5087010205.html

Rental terms are fairly straight forward, a one year lease agreement which could possibly be shortened to six months if necessary. After that time is up, the lease shifts to month to month. Rent is $550 per month and half of the utilities typically runs about $100 (total ~$650/month).

I am a PhD student in civil engineering with about a year left before I graduate. Cheers!

    Email: strahlerandrew@gmail.com

  • I am a second-year mathematics grad student with two rooms in my house available for rent! I am easy-going, like to keep things tidy, and spend most of my time on campus. Oh, and I have some non-math hobbies like a regular well-rounded adult including music, bouldering, traveling, etc.

The house has new carpet and new interior paint! One bathroom is shared between the two rooms. The larger bedroom (11’5″x11’5″) is $500/month while the smaller (10’x8′) is $450/month, not including utilities. A year-long lease is preferred, but negotiable! Also, I would consider a cat if the situation is right.

The house is in the southwest part of town on 53rd and Philomath Blvd, so it is a two-ish mile bike ride from campus or a quick ride on the bus (there are four different bus lines within a few blocks).

The rooms are available at any time! If you are interested, contact me at clairejanelle@gmail.com or by text at 218-341-3561.

We are currently looking for housing within biking distance of campus. A three bedroom house with a fenced-in yard would be ideal.

Additionally, my husband is looking for a job. He brings 14 years of experience in the plant pathogen diagnostics industry with a wealth of laboratory and research skills.

Please contact me at laurilutes@gmail.com if you have any information regarding housing options or job openings.

    Thank you!

  • I am an incoming Public Policy grad student this fall. I rent a house with a recently graduated engineer who works in Corvallis. The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and we’re looking for a third roommate. The house is newer and in a nice neighborhood near 53rd and HWY34. It has washer and dryer, air conditioning, easy parking. Also within short walking distance to both Safeway and Bimart. 10 minute bike ride to campus or a short bus. Rent is $440 per month plus utilities. If your looking for a place to live please contact me at bryce_siegel@hotmail.com

  • I have a clean, quiet studio near campus available now ($575/month). It’s a great place for one person (sorry – no pets) – stove, oven, sink, frig, bathroom with shower, large closet and room for a desk and bed. Laundry room is downstairs. I can get to campus on my bike in 5 minutes. Landlord has been great. Let me know if you are interested. tamaracaulkins@hotmail.com or text 509.607.0491.

    • I will be back in Corvallis on Saturday – let me know if you would like to see this studio. Quiet and close – this is on the back side of the building so very private. It has been nice to have one’s own space. This would be a sublet over the summer and then would be available in the fall, I believe for the same price. Utilities are included. Address is 825 SW Adams. Email for a photo of the inside.

  • Hello!

My name is Jamie, my partner Mykl and I have a couple rooms we would love to fill with some awesome people.

2415 NW 12th Street, 4 bed 2 bath, expansive yard HALF ACRE.
    $450/mo, $400 deposit, available 01 July
washer/dryer in house. Can reserve over summer
    no cigarette smoking

It’s just north enough that you finally don’t feel like you’re in the middle of the frat houses =] the rooms are such that none need share a wall with someone else. We’re planning to leave the middle room open just as a study or something of the sort.

About us, we enjoy camping, biking, cooking, yoga, art, reading, gardening, and small get togethers, We sleep and wake early, averaging a 9-11p bed time and 6-9a wake. We eat mostly organic, some meat, would love to shop and cook with roommates if our gastro matches up. Jamie is a graduate student pursuing a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies. To this end, it’s important to us that evenings are of a tranquil nature. Mykl is wrapping up his second bachelor’s, this one in Agriculture. He is planting or weeding pretty much all the time. The landlady is exceptionally amendable to our renovation of the landscape (growing food and general beautification, ornamentals and herbs, fruit trees). Pretty much awesome.

We prefer people with similar interests, who are invested in keeping a clean home, and serious about academic pursuits.

Email or call/text (719-355-0348)me any questions, your number, and when you’re ready to set up a meeting with us. We will be able to show the house by about 20 June.

  • Hello, I will be a graduate student at OSU this coming fall ’15 (MFA: fiction). I’m looking for a roommate or two as well as a relatively cheap place to stay. Other incoming first year grad students out there? A second year who needs someone to fill a bedroom?

Room is fully furnished/or not (bed, desk, dresser, linens, etc) as is the rest of the house (home theater, wet bar, wood stove, two refrigerators and mini refrigerator). • I’m looking for a house. I’m a PhD student in Integrative Biology, and my husband is visiting faculty teaching here. We have at least a year left here in town. We are also expecting a new member to our family – I’m pregnant and due in November. So, we’re looking for a rental house (preferably with 3 bedrooms). We have a small (~20 lbs), older (~10 yrs), well-trained dog, and a cat. We’re good tenants, with great rental and credit histories. If you’re moving on and looking for someone to rent your house, please get in touch! My email is hartfiee@science.oregonstate.edu. Thanks!

  • Hey everyone,

I’m a grad student in Robotics. I’m looking for a room near school from summer term and next year. I’m pretty clean and i would like to keep my things organised. I don’t party much, but i don’t mind having a drink or two during weekends.

I’m looking if anyone is looking for a roommate or having a room which i can rent.

  • I am an incoming Toxicology PhD student starting this fall. I am moving from Boise, Idaho to Corvallis and am looking for an empty room in an apartment or house to rent preferably within biking distance to campus, however I also have a car. I am allergic to cats and dogs, but can tolerate short-haired dogs. I would ideally like to live with roommates who are graduate students themselves. I currently have a couple of housing situations lined up but would like to possibly get a couple of more lined up before I visit the second week of July to make a final decision. I am fairly quiet, and clean an am a non-smoker. I am pretty active and enjoy cooking and the outdoors.

    • Hi Laura,
I read your post and you sound like you might be a good fit for us. We are a 10 minute bike ride from campus. We have a dog but he is well behaved and won’t go into a room if you tell him not to. We are not graduate students but we are very quite, do not party, and are very study focused. Let me know if your interested we can send pictures of the room that is open. We live in a spacious apartment with a shared garage and a patio area.
      Thanks!
      Acacia

      • Hi Acacia,

If you’re looking for a roommate and would like to find out more about me please email me at: fosteemi@onid.oregonstate.edu

  • Hey everyone,
Kris Osterloh and I am looking for a roommate for the 3 bedroom house on 11th between Monroe and Jackson. The room is available May 17th. Both Kris and I are active members of CGE (He’s the President and I am the health and safety committee rep) and we would prefer someone who is an active member so we can be a CGE household and pass the house onto grad student in the future. The house is literally a block from the big park at Monroe and 15th so super easy walking/biking to campus. Rent would be $600 plus 3 way split utilities (talk to Kris about negotiating pets and rent prices). The room is a good size with plenty of closet/storage space. There is a backyard and full sized basement where we plan on brewing beer and have a wood workshop. I also have a very friendly cat (female orange tabby) If you have visited our house for a CGE event, you probably have met her. feel free to email me(stephany.chacon@oregonstate.edu) with any more questions or Kris (kristopher.osterloh@oregonstate.edu)

  • Hey everyone,

I am looking for a room to rent for June 1. I am a first year PhD student in Microbiology. I have a small well-behaved dog. She is young so she is energetic, but I take great care of her and give her lots of exercise so she is usually calm while in the home. It would be great to join a household with the occasional shared meal, games and other activities when we’re not busting out our research. I can also function well in a more independent style living situation. I am clean and considerate with excellent communication skills and I love to cook and bake. I like to mountain bike, rock climb, snowboard, disc golf and play boardgames. Respond via email at matthewspoon@gmail.com or give me a call at (360)528-0230 if I am the roommate that you are looking for.

  • Im looking for two roommates to fill two empty rooms. Here is what we got available:

Master Bedroom: Measuring approximately 15×15. With closet space equal to 12 sq ft. Master Bed is upstairs, closet wall is shared with a second bedroom, other is with the kitchen. You have three windows, two south facing overlooking the deck and the Mary’s river. The East window overlooks the grassfield behind the house. In my house I charge rent per room, so this room is $465, all utilities save for Internet included. If you plan on sharing the room, it goes up to $500 to account for increased utility usage.

Study: We call this the study because it used to be an office. Measurement is approximate 9×12 ft. Closet is small, so plan to bring one or two dressers.Floor is carpeted, window faces West with views of Reser Stadium. Open the window on game days and you can hear the roar of the crowd. This room comes with its own baseboard heater, so adjust it as you like within the controlled high-low settings of the thermostat. Rent for this room is $380/month.

Now a little about the house: This building was built in 1947 as a radio station downstairs, owners apartment upstairs. It has charm and character unlike any other place you may live during your time in Corvallis. It truly is a special place. All furniture is provided by myself, the landlord.

As for appliances we have on site washer and dryer, dishwasher, etc,. There is ample off street parking for one vehicle per resident.

House is located at 1221 SW 15th st in Corvallis. We have Avery Park behind us, and Pioneer park to our West. In fact, we are surrounded by green. It’s a .6 mile walk to Kelley, I know I do it in 15 minutes every morning.

Now, as for who we are, I am a grad student in Industrial Engineering, my roommate Pierre will be a first year masters in education, and the third roommate Mitchell will be finishing his undergrad in BIS graduating in the Winter; three roommates looking for two.

Who we are looking for: quiet, laid back individuals who are fastidiously clean , organized, and considerate of others. I stress the last one. So, treat the house and each other kindly, and we will have a great time.

If you are interested send me an email.

    Thanks,
    Matteo

  • I am a second year masters student planning to graduate September of this year, and will be moving to California immediately after. My current lease ends June 30th of this year, so I am looking for someone to take over the last ~9months of the lease starting (for private upstairs corner bedroom) mid September to next June of 2016.
The room is in a large, 6 bedroom home with garage, garden, washer/dryer, 2 1/2 baths, and big kitchen with 2 refrigerators and dishwasher. The current tenants are quite, respectful, and studious. At least 3 and perhaps all 5 of the other tenants will be staying for next year. One is a PhD student but soon to be post doc in soil science, another will be a second year statistics grad student, another a 5th year zoology/biochemistry double major, another soon-to-be graduated animal science major, and another laid-back employee of the north co-op.

Rent is $350 per month, and utilities generally add <$50.
We are located really close to Trader Joes on 9th street which is very convenient.
Neighbors are quite (not a college party area, and no young kids either)
Street isnt busy and street parking is safe.
Not really far from anything in Corvallis, just a ten minute bike ride from OSU
Landlord is extremely responsive to repair requests, and have never had any problems.
Deposit is a non refundable $100, but that is all
House is well stocked with kitchen stuff and furniture, so good choice for someone without much stuff (although there is room if you do have a lot of stuff)
See attached pictures and let me know if you want to see the place! Pictured below i have a dresser, desk, chair, bedside table, lamp, mirror, and potentially double-sized mattress up for grabs. Everything free (otherwise will just go to goodwill) except mattress which i would sell for reasonable price if desired, but may take with me otherwise.

Questions? Want to set up a showing? Contact Rachel at (nine-two-five) nine-nine-eight- eight-seven- eight-eight
    Thanks!

  • Hi There,

I’ll be out of the country this summer for my research, and I’d like to sublet my 2/br apartment to 1 or 2 people while I’m gone from June 11th until September 20th. Move-in dates are flexible, and I’m also open to someone staying on as a roommate when I’m back if the arrangement works for us both.

Rent would be $650 for one person (a good deal for a spacious 2/br!) or $400 x 2 for two people. It’s just 1 mile from campus near 26th & Grant, quiet but not far from close to Fred Meyer’s & the Co-op, with a yard, a carport, and has some storage. It could be fully or partially furnished depending on what you have or need.

If interested, contact me at chrisfoertsch@yahoo.com or 206 291-0432. I can send pix too if interested.

    Thanks,

  • Hello All,
Our awesome roommate is leaving for a six month internship and we are looking for someone to sub-lease his room from June through December. It’s a fairly large bedroom in a three bedroom house. It has two full size closets, hardwood floors, a sweet ceiling fan perfect for warm summer nights, and a nice view of the beautiful backyard. There is a private bathroom just down the hall with a clawfoot bathtub and lots of storage.

All utilities are included -water, heat, electric, internet, etc. There is a washer and dryer in the garage as well. The room can be furnished or unfurnished.

Spacious fenced backyard with lots of garden space (if you’re into that), fruit trees, a fire-pit, BBQ, and free-ranging chickens.

The other rooms are occupied by one future master’s student, one professional, and one very large cat, who are all mature and responsible individuals.

Tell us a little about yourself, and please let us know if you have any questions. You can contact us through our Craigslist ad.

The room is partially furnished with a big study table and a chair. You would be sharing the kitchen, bathroom and the living room with another girl(grad student in EECS). The apartment is located on NW 23rd Street and is very close to OSU, Fred Meyer with bus connectivity most part of the day. There is a coin washer/dryer for the apartment. The rent is 330$/month+utilities(negotiable). Please contact me for any questions/pictures at (304)-376-8252

    • Hi Ashwini,
I was looking for a room to rent june july and august. Would it be possible to rent your room?
I am a graduate student form Mallorca a little Mediterranean island. I have been living in Barcelona for two years and I have been living in shared flats since then (5 years). I am very open minded and I enjoy living with people, also I am clean and tidy which I think is very important when you share a flat.
In my free time here I play in a Batucada, I take aerial acrobatic classes and I like hikking or going to the beach and hang out with friends.
      Hope to hear from you.

      Cheers,
      Gema

  • I am looking to sublet my room for the summer (~June 14 through August 30). The room is quite spacious (14×16 ft), and has a walk-in closet and private bathroom. It is also fully furnished (bed, dresser, desk, etc.). The house is on SW 11th St., right between campus and downtown (easy walking distance to both). It’s a great house: lots of light, backyard, washer/dryer, dishwasher… I share the place with three female, OSU graduate students. We’re all generally tidy/clean and the place is pretty low-key (friends come over some evenings, we have parties very occasionally). Rent is $580/month, but is definitely negotiable, and dates are also a bit flexible. Email sarahnalven@gmail.com or text/call 617 529 2887 with any questions or for photo requests!

  • Hey!

Looking for a roommate to move in Mid April. The apartment is located on 9th and Van Buren, close to both Downtown and OSU. The two current housemates are Material Science Graduate students and two great cats and we would love to continue living with fellow grad students!

The apartment has off street parking and a washer/drier in the unit. The rent is $425/month (which also includes gas, water, and garbage, the only other expenses are electricity and cable). There are two cats already living in the apartment, so no additional pets are allowed. The house is furnished except for the available bedroom. More information/pictures are available on the Craigslist ad https://corvallis.craigslist.org/roo/4955417273.html

Feel free to contact me with any questions: Suzanne smmirash@gmail.com

  • We have a master-bedroom suite available in a spacious apartment half-way between campus and down-town.

Rent for the room is $600/month, but the room is large enough that it can easily be split between two people (for two people, we’d ask an extra $25/month, or $325 per person per month, negotiable). Utility bills as split evenly and usually come to about $30-$60 per person.

We’re looking to have someone in the room by the beginning of Spring Quarter (March 30) or earlier. Move-in dates are very flexible.

    Housemates:
The two current tennants are PhD graduate students. One in Nuclear Engineering, the other in Mechnical-Robotics Engineering. We are fairly quiet on our own (as we are not often in the house), but enjoy having guests over. We’d appreciate a similar graduate student or professional to share our apartment with.

A master bedroom, complete with private access, lockable doors, full bathroom, balcony and full closet. Approximately 325sqft. Access to the apartment’s other full bathroom is immediately down the hall.

    Location:
On 7th and Monroe, 7min walk to campus or downtown, right next to Corvallis public library and across from Central Park.

  • We have one room available in a beautiful house close to campus and Fred Meyer.

Rent for the room is $460/month, with a $200 deposit. We split bills evenly, and that usually comes out to $50-90/person, depending on the season. We’re hoping to have someone in the room by the beginning of Spring Term (March 30). We can be flexible with the move-in date if you need to move in earlier because we have a guest bed in the studio.

    Housemates
Two of us are graduate students—one in Soil Science and one in Human Development and Family Sciences. One of us works for CGE, and the other is a student at OSU and also works.

We like to play outside, hike, boat, grow things, play sports and boardgames, and have people over for dinner. We are hoping to find a like-minded graduate student or professional who values a nice place to come home to and nice people to share a home with.

    Your Room
The open room is on the main level of the house. The room is carpeted, of good size, and has a good closet. You would share a bathroom with one other person.

    The House
Kitchen—big and beautiful, energy efficient appliances, cutting block island, gas range and convection oven, dishwasher, lots of counter space and cabinets.
Living Room—hardwood floors, gas fireplace for heat, comfortably furnished.
Solarium/Dining Room—lots of windows, gas fireplace for heat, hardwood floors.
Studio Space—sunny studio just off that house that we use as a yoga/exercise/quiet/ out of town guest space.

    Outside
    Small Covered Area
    Bricked Patio
    Small Yard
    Rabbits!
    Three Large Raised Beds
Small Shed—used mostly for bike, tool, and camping gear storage.

If it sounds like this could be a good fit, text (865.201.7518) or email (ashley[dot]bromley[at]gmail[dot]com), and we’ll find a good evening to show you the house.

  • My lease is up at the end of July and my place will be too expensive the next time around for me to renew the lease. I am looking for a place for myself, preferably with a relatively large bedroom and private bathroom, but I am flexible on the bathroom depending in the circumstances. Looking for a place relatively close to campus where it is easy to bus, walk or bike from being that I have no car. Hoping to live with someone willing to carpool to the store. Preferred rent to be $550 or lower. I have no idea where to start.

As for myself, I am a Master’s student in Horticulture/Entomology planning to defend next March. Not a big partier but love socializing. It would be wonderful to live with chill people who are keen on conservation. I also love animals, so if you have a pet I will be totally happy with that.

Let me know if you know or are someone looking for a roommate to fill a similar space in July. Email is parreirs@onid.oregonstate.edu

    Thanks!

  • Do you ever wake up in the morning and say to yourself, “Everything is great in my life, but…Gee, I wish I lived with more PhD students!”
Well, have I got the place for you! I’m looking for a quiet and respectful individual to take over my very nice room in a townhouse in Timberhill. The best part? It comes with not one, not two, but THREE PhD students! And if you act now, I’ll throw in an extra PhD student ABSOLUTELY FREE!

OK, kidding about the last part. But, there are three students here, and if you’d like a place that’s clean, quiet, and full of smart people, please send me an email. You can also check out my CL ad below. Rent is a total bargain at $465/month, and the lease runs to June 30th.

  • Hey everyone,
Kris Osterloh and I am looking for a roommate for the 3 bedroom house on 11th between Monroe and Jackson. Both Kris and I are active members of CGE (He’s on the EC and I am on the steward council) and we would prefer someone who is an active member so we can be a CGE household and pass the house onto grad student in the future. The house is literally a block from the big park at Monroe and 15th so super easy walking/biking to campus. Rent would be $600 plus 3 way split utilities. The room is a good size with plenty of closet/storage space. There is a backyard and full sized basement where we plan on brewing CGE beer and having a workshop. I also have a very friendly cat. The room is available now, feel free to email me(stephany.chacon@oregonstate.edu) with any more questions.

  • Looking for a room or to share a 2 bed apartment with a graduate student who has a similar mindset:

    Quiet, clean, respectful, relaxed..

Looking for less than $500/month with high speed internet. There are great 2 bedroom adds on Craigslist, but I have nobody to room with!

  • Hello!

I’m a PhD student in Chemistry, and I’m looking for a roommate to split a 2BD/2BA condo unit on Grand Oaks Dr, starting mid-to-late September. It’s a 7 min. drive to campus, you’d have a bedroom and bathroom to yourself, and a parking spot/garage. W/D in unit. Your rent would be $600/month plus electricity/internet. App fee is $50, and security deposit is $600. No smoking, no pets.

I’m clean, quiet, studious, and sometimes a combination of all three. I’m a night owl, so there may or may not be violin playing coming out of my room at times, accompanied by late-night snacking in the kitchen.

Feel free to text (281-871-8386) or email (joseph.ngta@gmail.com) if you have questions.

  • Hi folks,

I am looking for a female roommate to share a sweet little house between campus and downtown (6th and Van Buren) with myself and my elderly cat. The house is pretty much furnished at this point, but the extra bedroom is not. Rent is $450/month plus utilities. The house has a nice yard, storage shed/workbench, washer/dryer. Unfortunately, no other pets allowed on the lease.

I am a Phd student in Environmental Science and Public Policy, am pretty quiet and low-key. No wild parties, but I enjoy having friends over for dinner and stuff like that, and enjoy outdoor adventures as well as having quiet time at home. I’m looking for someone similar that is friendly and enjoys maintaining a cozy and clean home. If you are interested in more information, shoot me an email: cltaylor27@gmail.com. Thanks! Casey

  • My husband and I are searching for a 1-2BR for ourselves and our dog starting anytime (before school). I’ll be in the Water Resource Engineering department. We would also be open to sharing a home with someone else. We are quite, love to cook and be outside, and are avid whitewater kayakers and rafters. We would love a place with a yard, and don’t mind living a bit outside of town. Would love to hear from anyone with any ideas! smhollings@gmail.com

  • Hey fellow grads,

My name is David(25 y/o) and I will be a Nuke Eng student come the fall. Right now I am being kindly hosted by a fellow grad from the site, but this is only temporary. I’ve been looking at two bedroom layouts in Witham Hill Oaks Apartments (https://www.withamhilloaks.com/Apartments/module/property_floorplans/property%5Bid%5D/30793/)

    and Oak Vale Apartments
    (https://www.oak-vale.com/Amenities.htm)

Both are only ~2 miles to campus and are very reasonably priced in my opinion. I am clean, will be a 7-8am riser, and am not loud/don’t really get my party on. Looking for another grad student who has it together and perhaps even friendly, that would be a plus!

  • Hello!

I have 1 bedroom vacancy starting Sept. 1st in a 4 bedroom/1 bath single family house for a female student or working professional. Fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher. Washer and Dryer Machine. Front Yard, Back yard, room for a little gardening. Month to Month Lease with a $350 security deposit, $350/month plus split electricity and WIFI.

Current roommates are busy gals; one is a pre-dental student at OSU in her early twenties and the other is a working professional in her late twenties. I am in my mid-twenties and a grad student in food science. We all are active and busy but we all do chores around the house and yard so we can have a healthy living environment.

The house is located off of Goodnight Ave, a block away from the bus line. Easy bus to campus which takes about 30min depending on where on campus you’re walking to. Less than 20 minute bike ride to campus which I do frequently.

We have occasional dinner parties including roommates and their friends, but nothing too crazy so we’re looking for someone who also prefers a quieter and clean environment.

    Sorry, no pets please.

If you’re interested please email me at rachel.hotchko@oregonstate.edu. Thank you for looking!

    Cheers,
    Rachel

The neighborhood is quiet – neighbors are also grad students, families, and young professionals. Rent will be $400/mo and 50% of utilities (around 75$ per person), and a $300 deposit. The apartment is mostly furnished, including sofa, TV, dining table, and washer/dryer. The available room has a desk and a dresser available if you’d like.

I’m a 28 year-old male currently working at OSU. I’m very easy going and enjoy basketball, running, hiking, etc. I am looking for a roommate (no gender preference) who is clean and respectful. I prefer someone who is not looking to throw parties, but I’m okay with having small gatherings.

  • Greetings. I am moving out of my duplex in south Corvallis, and wanted to let others know it’s available on Aug 1, 2014. It’s a 2 bedroom, 1 bath on a quiet cul du sac off of Lilly Ave. There’s a nice shady backyard area, a little front yard, washer/dryer in unit, and very basic cable included in rent. it’s a couple of minutes walk from a bus stop, or a 15 minute bike ride to campus. it’s a quiet building and neighborhood, ideal for a grad student. $625/mo + electric. If you are interested, contact the building owner, Mr. Lex Lao, at (503) 708-3178. sorry, no pets. I’ve been very happy there, but will be relocating for work.

  • Hi all,

My boyfriend and I are looking for a pet-friendly house to move into (or maybe take over a lease for) around September.

I’m a grad student in the Botany dept. and he’s a grad student in the Fisheries & Wildlife dept, so we’d love somewhere that’s walkable/bikeable to OSU and downtown.

We have two very well trained and sweet labrador retrievers that love other dogs and people. They’re easy keepers – low maintenance, low key, not barkers etc. but we are looking for somewhere that has a fenced backyard so they can spend time outside during the day.

    Thanks!

  • I will be starting graduate school this fall and am in need of a place to live. I’ll be in the MS in Statistics program at OSU, and I have a BS in mathematics from Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, WA). I’m a native Washingtonian and will be 22 when I start in the program this fall. I would like a place to live in Corvallis starting in September, although if you would like someone to occupy a room during August as well, I might also be able to make that work. Miscellaneous interests include photography, tennis, and music (pipe organ/piano). I don’t have any pets although I am open to the idea of living with them. Please feel free to email me (peterjrise@gmail.com) if you have any questions! Thank you!

  • My wife and I are looking to rent a house in Corvallis for the foreseeable future. We currently live in an apartment and would like to have a yard for our 7 year old lab mix to stretch her legs in (hopefully a fenced yard). We don’t have a specific preference on neighborhood (though we currently live in NW Corvallis and do love it here), but we’d like to make sure we move somewhere where we can feel comfortable raising a family within the next few years. The highest we can afford to pay for rent at this time is 1200/month, lower rent would be preferred but we are open to all options. Looking for at least a 2 bedroom house, hopefully 2 bathroom but not required, and at least close to 900 square feet or bigger (it would be nice to have room to expand our family). Our apartment lease is over June 30th so we are looking to obtain something soon (though we can extend by a month if rentals are not open until mid-late July).

I am currently earning my masters at Oregon State and my wife works full time in International Programs at Oregon State, so we will be living here for quite some time. Please feel free to email me if you have a rental that seems like it fits our needs. We are very flexible.

My wife added a posting on CL at the following link https://corvallis.craigslist.org/sbw/4514480873.html

  • My husband and I are looking for a small home (1-2 bdrm) to rent starting Sept. 1. I will be in the Water Resource Engineering graduate program, he will work from home and travel to PDX occasionally. We have a wonderful dog and dream that our new home would have a yard for him to play in. Within 15 minute bike ride preferable. Please let me know if you have any information on a great place for rent!

  • Hi,
We have a room opening in our house which is available on August 1st or a little earlier according to your convenience. We are two PhD students in engineering (One from Brazil and the second from Portugal), very good to get along with. We are very responsible, quiet, and non-smokers. We like playing sand volleyball and soccer.
The house has three rooms, one bathroom, large backyard, and a great location 15 min (walking distance ) from Monroe. It is located on 36th street a block away from Harrison. The route 1 stops right in front of our hose which is very handy sometimes.
People that are interested in a longer term rent would be preferred. The rent is about $ 350/month + ~ 60 dollars for utilities. Please contact me by e-mail ( albuqueg@onid.orst.edu ).

    • Amy Jo,

I posted a comment right below that describes me. How soon are you looking to feel the room and how much is rent?
